Hotel's Favourite
A very well kept hotel just a short walking distance from main centre. The breakfast was great and was extremely clean - not one crumb or spill in sight. There was also a good selection of breakfast items and stocked well. We encountered two downsides one, our room 7th floor, was so noisy from the road traffic it is relentless and at night very loud. It only briefly stopped in early morning hours but would start back up again around 4am. Two, location would hav preferred to stay closer in centre but it was only a short walking distance. There is no parking at hotel so you must use a parking facility. We parked in a lot about a two blocks walk away from hotel. There are parking garages in the area also within 2-4 blocks. The convention centre is a 5 min walk.

We went over Labor Day weekend. We didn't realize it, but there was a music festival going on, which made all hotel rates very high. BW was at the low end of the range, which still seemed pretty high to me.
Location is at the north end of Center City, on the north side of 676, We parked in one of the lots right across 676. Location is walkable to most of the tourist sites, if you are willing to do extensive walks. Building was neat and clean. The block that it's in is somewhat run down.
Our room had a "fake" window; the window looked out onto an enclosed lighted space between rooms and the exterior wall. This was ok, but I would have preferred that the light be dimmed to reflect time of day.
My wife needed a hair dryer, and we had to be persistent to get one.
Breakfast was not as good as at other BW hotels, even recently. There were a couple of juice varieties, coffee (although apparently no de-caf), some microwave breakfast sandwiches, some muffins, and apples. Adequate, but don't come here for the breakfast.

We normally stay at Airbnbs, but there wasn’t one close to center city that was within our budget or worth our time. So we stayed here and weren’t disappointed. The staff was really friendly and helpful. Our room had a window that faced the wall of an adjacent building, but this was a plus because we’re from a rural area and didn’t have to deal with light pollution or city noise. Plus, it kept the room really dark.
The bed was very comfortable and there were plenty of fluffy pillows.
Now….cleanliness. The room was really clean and no sign of bedbugs or other insects. There were some stains on the floor and a few cigarette burns, but nothing major. I always bring my black light to check the toilet and shower cleanliness, not to mention the furniture for…bodily fluids. All I can say is that they get an A+ for not leaving the previous guests DNA plastered about.

Visiting Philly is a yearly tradition in my family. Upon checking into the hotel, I found the lobby quite clean and nice. The floors were buffed and made me nod in approval. Please note, the parking is a little difficult so when you arrive, plan to double park on a busy street until you can either valet or get directions to the overflow lot a few blocks away.
I opted to park in the overflow lot. It was only 22$ and a short walk away. Back in the hotel, I ventured to my room. It was a decent, albeit small room but it was cozy. The bed was relatively comfortable and the room was clean for the most part. The floor was a bit filthy so if you have a pair of flips you will be fine. The bathroom was alright, but my eyes were drawn to the crud in the corner.
The location of the hotel was awesome. We were only minutes away from major attractions. This was a business trip and I didn't spend that much time in the room but I can you the location was great. Now my issues arose during the night when I was trying to sleep. The fire alarm went off at around midnight. It was pretty loud and intense. It startled me and my wife. No information was given as to why this happened and from what I heard from the other guest, this is a normal occurrence. All in all, I don't think I would stay here again. There were too many small issues that made me feel like I could find better value elsewhere.

The location wasn't the greatest, but the rooms were nice and spacious. Lots of noisy street traffic at night, motorcycles especially. Wish there had been more options for breakfast but understand due to Covid that things are limited. We had 2 rooms and it was odd how different they were even being next to each other. One had a huge shower and tons of towels, the other had a small shower and barely any towels.

My son and I stayed at Best Western Convention Center, Philadelphia. It is conveniently located near Reading Terminal Market and many restaurants. It is a smaller city hotel that offers breakfast which we did not eat due to our early timeline. We stayed at this hotel during Halloween weekend. The city was busy and the weather was terrific! Our room was attached to the elevator shaft that ran all day/night. The guests going to and from our 6th floor were loud and louder. At one point, a guest opened his door across the hall from us and yelled "shut up" to the loud and louder people. We remember that happening around 1am. The room smelled of previous marijuana use upon entering. We cannot change that so we did not bring that matter to the courteous front desk persons. The carpet had not been vacuumed and was stained. The bathroom had hair on the toilet and around the toilet base. There was also hair by the bathroom door along with a pile of dirt. The shower also looked as if it needed to be wiped down. The hotel must be attached to a building that offers holiday events because late into the night we heard deep bass music through our wall. It was Halloween weekend and we did get the room from a discount website so I guess we walked into these issues. We mentioned all of this to the front desk person at our checkout. She was nice and said she was sorry.

The neighborhood around this hotel is very sketchy. I would not leave the hotel after it got dark. There is no parking there and they have you use a lot around the corner for $27. The room had makeup on the pillow case when we arrived and the shower pan was dirty with black dirt. The only nice part was the staff at the front desk.

My girlfriend and I stayed there for the weekend. Staff was very friendly. Hotel lobby and room are clean. The things that made the stay poor was every night during the stay the fire alarms went off twice from people smoking in their rooms. In addition to the fire alarms going off, the rooms are not sound proof. The walls are very thin. You can hear the people partying in the next room and them roaming the hallways all night. Finally there is no parking for the hotel. I paid $30 per night for parking at the parking lots across the street. I will never stay at this hotel again.

Can you purchase some new wash cloths, hand towels, and big towels please. The other towels are a bit rough. I have sensitive skin and would like the feel of softer towels against my skin. This would be so appreciated.

So I did a quick stay at this best western. The front desk agent was very friendly and gave me some great parking options. Fast forward to the next morning, me and my guest were woken up by housekeeping(I didn’t realize that I slept through my alarm and it was checkout time but I literally had a wall in front of my window blocking any access to outside) housekeeping didn’t say anything else after that just walked away. The next BANG at the door I’ll assume was the front desk manager and a security guard I guess. I explained to her that I thought check out was later but we were literally on our way out the door. She proceeds to tell me with the rudest attitude “You have 15mins to leave because I NEED this room”. As apologetic as I was she still had the nastiest attitude during our exchange. I’ve had many stays at the Best Western including this one and I’ve always had great service even with slight inconveniences. Hoping she has a better attitude but I won’t be staying there again.
