Jamie at the bar and meesha at the front desk were absolutely wonderful. I come here a lot and these 2 have made this hotel my go to when I come to philly. I was looking for ice and Meesha had a bag ready at the desk and Jamie stayed late and made sure we were happy until we were ready. Give these girls a RAISE!!!!!!!!
The staff here is hands down the most amazing customer service team I have ever encountered at any hotel/resort… EVER! We are here for medical reasons which was originally a one night stay, but had turned into many. From the moment my friends and I checked in right up until check out 10 days later. I can safely say we had interactions with at least a dozen employees and each had gone above and beyond, more than I would have ever expected. From food recommendations to asking how my friends daughter is doing in the hospital each and every day. They made sure that we had clean linens and offered to regularly service our room despite the current covid protocols. Just an awesome team!
Stayed here for one night in December 2021 on a leisure trip. I really liked this hotel. The lobby was beautiful and classic. The hotel felt safer than another hotel I stayed at nearby recently because of key card access to the elevators. I stayed in a "Breezy King" room, which was small but comfortable for just me. The room had a little nook for a desk, which was also where the window was. The bathroom was well-appointed and Ioved the Dry Bar amenities, especially not having travel-size shampoo/lotions but rather the big refillable bottles on the wall in the shower - why have all hotels not moved to this? I had a comfortable and pleasant night's stay and would stay here.
First, the entire place was spotless. That’s a big deal any time, but especially these days. This hotel is a little unusual, given that it’s a converted bank building, so the rooms aren’t traditional style. But it was a very good experience. Check in was quick and easy. You need your keycard to go to the guest floors in the elevator, always a safe idea. Staffers we met were exceedingly friendly and helpful. The king bed room was small, though a typical size for any big city hotel. The layout is unusual, with the bathroom just inches from one side of the bed. There’s a TV hanging over the desk so you can watch from bed. Shower (no tub) had lots of pressure and hot water. No ice machines but go to the front desk and they’ll get you as many Ziplock bags of ice as you need, which is really better anyway. Room was quiet, but it’s a city, so there’s street noise even on higher floors. Very short walk to Reading Terminal Market, Christmas Village in Love Park, Macy’s. Wawa at 12th and Market has your morning coffee. If you want to go to South Philly for a game or for Pat’s and Geno’s cheesesteaks, the Broad Street Subway is a block to the right at Race Street. Didn’t use the valet; parked in the Gateway Garage on Spring Street between 15th & 16th, which is $27 for any 24 hours. Overall, wouldn’t hesitate to recommend and return.…
Great location close to the music venue. I treated my wife to a concert at the music venue location approximately 1 mile from the hotel. It was nice to make it a special night and stay overnight. Once the rain stopped it wasn't a bad walk back to the hotel. The hotel had an upscale theme. The blinds were definitely room darkening as I read in previous reviews. She is a tough critic when it comes to hotels. She mentioned she would stay here again. The only negative comment I have is regarding the trash can. It was filled with bottles and garbage from a previous stay. I feel emptying the trash is one of the easiest things to do when it comes to cleaning a room.
