This is a great hotel for people that are *not* concerned with getting a good night a sleep. Make sure you read the fine print. I’m sure it’s there somewhere, but I couldn’t even find it on their website, even after our stay. We stayed in the “Big Jawn” room. I feel that the proprietors failed to adequately disclose that the room we rented has a subway train which is literally 10 feet from your bedroom window and runs most of the day and night. The train made both of our bedrooms shake, every ten minutes, almost all night long. We got woken up by speeding trains every night, all night long, during our stay. Nobody in our group got a good night sleep as a result. I feel that the owners mask this attribute in a way that is dishonest. To be fair the venue offered me a discount and recommended alternate places to stay, but we did not take advantage of either option. Security: there was no way to lock the door to our “Jawn” from the inside. No chain, no deadbolt. Just a key pad. Anyone from the company that rents this property, or anyone who knows my cell phone # (so literally ANYONE) can enter the building and then enter your bedroom while you are inside sleeping, showering, or whatever. This is a big problem in my opinion. We had a child with us and did not feel that they property was secure. I didn’t inspire my confidence or allow for a restful nights sleep. But the train, wouldn’t allow that anyway. I don’t need fancy accents. I need a good nights sleep in a room that is secure. We wished we had stayed somewhere else for these reasons.…

If you are traveling/staying in Philly Lokal is an absolute must. Honestly it makes you feel like a celebrity. Whoever designed the rooms needs to be in architecture digest. I’m looking at pictures I took and looking to renovate my house based off of their style. An absolute 10/10

I really like the Lokal model. Low touch & low key check in. You get all the details in advance & the instructions are easy to follow. The rooms are mini-apartments, sleekly designed yet comfortable. You can use it as a hotel or a home away from home given the kitchen. I stayed in the back loft based on some reviews and it was as quiet as a city room gets. Yes there is a train close by and a low rumble early in the am...didn't really bother me but there were earplugs if you are a light sleeper. Nice big spa-esque bathroom. I'd love to come back in warmer weather and use the back garden. I've stayed in the other Philly location and both are great. However, I would say take a Lyft to find the Fishtown location. Our old school driver got lost.

I was visiting Philly for the very first time and staying at the Lokal Hotel was the best ever. It was close enough to downtown, but far away from all the noise and activities. The customer service was amazing and very responsive. The place is super chic and unique. I would highly recommend staying here.

My stay at Lokal Hotel Fishtown was amazing! The room was beautiful and I wished I could live there forever! Everything was very clean and it felt very homie. They take covid safety precautions seriously, it’s contactless upon arrival and departure. The location is perfect, there are a lot of good restaurants all in walking distance! Can’t wait to visit again.

I loved staying at the Fishtown Lokal Hotel. The location, the apartment, the amenities, the service--everything was simply perfect. This is the first place I'm staying at that has such precise attention to detail. Everything in the space was really clean, minimal, and very well designed. I loved the town--it's super hip and artsy, and everything from coffee shops to the local supermarkets was super close and accessible by foot. I would 100% recommend this place--whether it's a long or a short stay--and I'll definitely be coming back!

Stayed in Front Jawn. Feels more like staying at an apartment than a hotel, and that’s a good thing. Spacious enough. Take advantage of having your own kitchen during a trip! There’s even laundry to use in the basement. Keep in mind your are under a train station but I barely noticed it. There is an iPad you can use to order food via apps. Very solo kind of experience if that’s your thing.

Lokal fishtown was absolute perfection! I barely wanted to leave our hotel room!! everything is so aesthetically pleasing and thought through. the coziest place ever!!! the invisible service could seem different at first, but they just one call away and there exactly when you need them! I've always wanted to stay at Lokal when I first heard about their Old City location & wanted to check out their Fishtown spot, so when it was time to book a quick staycation during my birthday weekend I knew I had to choose Lokal. First off, this is unlike any other hotel out there. The location is just a brisk walk away from all the great food and attractions Fishtown has to offer. And the rooms are basically small (and I use the term small lightly as it's quite spacious) apartments! There's a full fledged kitchen, full bath, and even an entire living space aside from the bed area. Oh forgot to mention that each room is even named something quirky or related to Philadelphia (I stayed in "Your Jawn") which added to the charm. Secondly, I love the idea of an invisible service hotel as there is no visible staff there during your stay. Everything is emailed to you beforehand (door codes, house rules, etc.) plus there's even an iPad mounted to the wall for you to order food, turn on the Sonos sound system, etc. So if you ever find yourself in Philly even if it's just for the weekend, look no further than Lokal Hotel!…
