Never stayed at a Motto before but if you are looking for a nice, comfy space to sleep, would highly recommend. However, the check-in assistant was not very friendly upon arrival due to the fact that I lost my Drivers License en route to the hotel; although I had a picture of my DL and passport on my phone (for that purpose), as well as the credit card and my Hilton Honors number that I used to make the reservation, the desk assistant stated that she couldn't accept the pictures of my ID because of hotel policy. After a lot of back and forth talking, she accepted the pictures but was just nasty about it. The cafe's breakfast is limited to a breakfast taco (which was not filing for me) and doesn't open until 8am. But there is a Starbucks nearby which is open early. Most of the other restaurants don't open early so if you have meetings you need to attend, plan accordingly. Also, the website states that it's in walking distance to the convention center which I have learned is subjective; my idea of walking distance is about 5 minutes, but this hotel is about a 15-20 minute walk which for me ended up being more on the 20-minute side, so ended up spending an extra $75 in cabs and Uber for my stay. Overall, my experience was a good one. Comfy bed, super clean bathroom, and nice amenities. There are water stations on each floor which is so nice, so my only suggestion would be to offer guests a reusable water bottle (if they need one, as most people carry one) rather than water bottles.…
We needed 4 rooms for 1 night. 4 rooms anywhere near Rittenhouse Square looked like it would cost the same as my monthly mortgage. Then I discovered Motto by Hilton. Great location, Hilton quality in terms of cleanliness and service, but KMart prices - the reason they can do this is the rooms are quite small, but who cares? Each of our rooms had a full- size bed, TV, full bath, area for hanging clothes, full-length mirror, towels and toiletries. IMHO a superb value for the cost, and there's also a gym on site and reduced rate parking just across the street! The hotel is 3/4 of a mile from Reading Terminal Market and very close to a lot of restaurants and bars and stores - highly recommend!
Beautiful hotel in a fantastic location!! The staff are all really friendly and helpful (Isabelle & Mo in particular). The restaurant and coffee bar in the hotel (Condesa) are delicious with equally excellent service. The location is unbeatable! And the gym has everything you need for a good workout. Rooms are on the smaller side but perfectly fine for a short stay, especially if you plan to be out and about.
The hotel was very clean and nice. All the staff at the front desk were kind and very helpful. We appreciated them holding our bags and giving us umbrellas. The bathroom came with shampoo and soap. The only downside was loud garbage trucks at night and housekeeping didn’t come. Great hotel for the price and great central location. Would recommend!!
The hotel was very clean and the staff Dayana and Isabelle were great! The hotel location is amazing and the two restaurants on site were very tasty. I have absolutely no complaints, will definitely be staying again.
Excellent customer service not only from the front desk (thank you Isabelle and Mo for making my morning stress free!) but also the cleaning staff I encountered in the hallway. Very good location, parking just across the street. For my needs, this hotel was perfect. Recommend.
The Motto was centrally located, the hotel rooms were clean, bar/restaurant both had great service and Isabelle & Mo from the front desk were especially helpful & friendly. Our only qualms were that the bathroom door in our room didn’t allow for much privacy and the television was a bit glitchy. Otherwise we very much enjoyed our stay.
This was my first time traveling in a long time and this was a nice hotel in a very walkable location, including an easy walk from the train station. The room was clean and comfortable as well and the staff was very friendly. However, I was woken up at 5:00 AM the morning I was checking out (check out is at 3:00 pm) by someone trying to enter my room. After yelling that this room was occupied, the door suddenly opened and had it not been for the latch it would have opened all the way. I yelled again and this time I heard “sorry, sorry” before the door closed. Needless to say I was shaken up, I was traveling alone for the first time and being woken up like this was very startling. I called the desk and was told it was a maintenance man and that according to their computers the room was vacant. I said it was most certainly not vacant, I said I had the door bolted and the do not disturb on the door so I did not understand how it was assumed the room was vacant. I also cannot imagine what maintenance needed to be done at such an early hour. The young lady seemed apologetic but hurried to get me off the phone. I did not sleep the rest of the night/morning. While the hotel itself is great I am hesitant to stay again given this experience and lack of apology. …
Great staff, great vibe, great location!!!! I would recommend this hotel to everyone! There is a great atmosphere in the hotel. The restaurant and bar Condesa was very lively and had great food! The rooms were perfectly sized and super clean!! The area was safe and we felt very comfortable walking around at night. The hotel staff was so friendly and made sure we had everything that we needed at all times. I’m definitely coming back to stay at Motto!!!!
When I travel, I don't need much. Motto is the perfect brand for me, especially with how little time I spend in the room. From the ambiance, to Condesa, and El Techo, dozens of restaurants nearby, what more could you ask for? That alone exceeds expectations. When traveling as often as I do, I typically don't encounter great customer service. Nothing that "wow's" me. But WOW was I blown away by the service I received. Everyone I encountered was so kind and so genuine, I felt like I was speaking to friends. Truly unlike anything I've experienced before. I can't wait to return and see all my friends at the front desk!
