It’s a good place to park yourself when u r visiting your kid at the university.. this is our third stay in the last one year .. In March 2023 we stayed here for almost 14 days. Had a room on the 6th floor with a view .. breakfast was good and Margaret at the breakfast counter was outstanding. She made the breakfast time just too special and we missed her on the two days she was on leave. She served us as if we were her family. Packed stuff for us / got my husband his gluten free bread everyday / any request we had and Margaret was there to help us. Always cheerful and on top of her job. Thank you Margaret. However now for the drawback. The housekeeping at the place is just sad.. It’s like the staff is doing a favour on you .. inspite of requesting for a full cleanup a day in advance the first four days no one turned up. We had to speak to the manager Bryan who immediately sorted out the issue and got the room cleaned.. In the 14 days we stayed. Just the bed sheets were changed every alternate day ( on request ) … but no one vacuumed the floor or cleaned the kitchen even once. The only thing that was done was turn the beds and keep fresh towels. One of the housekeeping staff didn’t even clear the kitchen garbage when we were out - just kept fresh towels and left .. saying she is not sure if the thrash kept under the kitchen sink is thrash.. another time when I requested her to come after half an hour informed me that she has no time and handed the bedsheets to me asking me to change the sheets. .. for someone who is staying for so many days the least we expect is a clean vacuumed room and bathrooms. Also none of the toiletries were replaced unless asked for .. coffee in the room / the coffee glasses — the housekeeping staff never bothered to replace it. Every-time we needed something we had to ask for it . The ceiling of the room haven’t been dusted since ages. There is dust which can be seen with the naked eye. Must highlight that in the NY homewood suites not only were the rooms vacuumed but all the utensils were washed in the dishwasher ..

Hotel's Favourite
The furniture in our suite was extremely comfortable. It was solid, attractive and functional, very thoughtfully designed, and made every minute of our stay pleasant. The bed gave us a comfortable sleep, while the comfortable, ergonomic chairs allowed us to do remote work and school without back aches, and a solid, perfectly sized table on (lockng) wheels moved easily into the other room so we could dine with a view after work was over. This is in marked contrast to fussy boutique hotels, where the furniture is design-conscious but often uncomfortable to actually sit in (super low sofas, backless bar stools...), or AirBnBs, which often have junky, throwaway furniture that's sagging or awkward. Also, the view over Philadelphia from our high floor was fantastic, a real highlight. And housekeeping was extremely attentive. The only minuses were inconsistent masking among staff and visitors, and subpar breakfast (bagels and lousy coffee).

My family and I had a great time. I thought this was going to be a dump the way some reviewers roasted this place. Every staff member we dealt with was awesome! From the valet to the front desk everyone was professional and helpful. Our room was quiet, spacious and clean. The outside looked relatively clean for Philly. The only downside is the disrespectful elevator. The elevator comes to work when it wants to and sometimes ghosts you altogether. Great hotel!

The front desk is talking about their buffet. Me: "I have a gluten allergy. Can anything be prepared for me?" Front desk: "No" Me: "That's OK. I brought my own food." Hours later I call the front desk, after finding out that the microwave is broken and the bowl I'm supposed to put my cereal in is half the size of a regular cereal bowl. The only utensil provided in the room is a fork. (Thankfully I had brought my own utensils.) I call the front desk and am told that they have no other bowls but there is a 7-11 across the street where I may BUY a bowl and someone is coming up to fix the microwave. (No one ever came to fix the microwave. The buttons for 1 4 7 and the power function were all broken.) So I go downstairs to the buffet and come to find out that there are actually THREE different bowls that are all larger than the tiny bowl we paid for as part of our room charges that was supposed to enable me to be able to fix my own food. I empty one of the bowls that has condiments and take it upstairs and work around the broken features of the microwave. Not only that, but adding insult to injury, we were told by one of the staff that the hotel provided food for three times what they normally do because they happily allowed many people who weren't staying at the hotel to partake of the breakfast there. Beyond that (the broken microwave and the abuse I suffered for having celiac disease, which an official disability under the ADA, there several other issues in my short stay. The elevators in the facility do not seem to work properly. It takes really long to get anywhere. Unfortunately I had a ninth floor room, so I was stuck using them. Also I have bursitis and arthritis in both hips so I had to use the elevator or risk further injuring my hips. The other issue was that the rooms weren't cleaned properly. Upon arriving, I was originally in Room 1005, which hadn't been cleaned at all. I was changed to Room 912 which had hair on the bathroom floor and in the shower (not mine as I hadn't used the shower). Upon checking out, I tried to relay my experience to the front desk staff who really didn't care. They said no manager was around and told me to call back at 11 pm. (This was the second time I was told that information.) The only one bright spot was Barry Carter. He went above and beyond for me. I had too much stuff on checkin and needed a cart. He said he could carry my luggage. He found that the room hadn't been cleaned and called on his radio to the front desk and told them I needed another room. Then he dropped me off at Room 912. I gave him my keys and he ran downstairs and grabbed another set and dropped them off at my new room. Kudos to Barry. Beyond him, I can honestly say that my husband and I are Hilton Honors rewards members. As an Honors Rewards Member, you are supposed to be treated extra specially. I don't feel that I had this treatment at all at Hilton.

I stayed here again after just being there a month ago. The trash along the main entrance was cleaned up, with beds getting mulched & flowers planted a day or two after we checked in. Didn't have any issues while we were there and front desk checked on our experience to make sure we were happy with our stay. Margaret at breakfast was as cheerful and helpful as ever and Tia & Jimmy, the two shuttle drivers, were very kind and accommodating

Not the same, but what really is? We've brought our son to CHOP for surgeries two to three times a year since 2011, and this has been our go to hotel. It has provided everything we needed while being away- a full kitchen, hot buffet breakfast daily, weekday light dinner w/ beer & wine from 5pm-7pm, a self serve laundry, and most importantly a free shuttle that ran from 8am-9pm daily to and from local hospitals within a 1 mile radius... We have not had to come back here since July of 2020. There have been quite a few changes that are disappointing and inconvenient... some due to COVID I'm sure, and some that are just simply lowered standards. Here are just a few: *There is mold in our shower that is immediately noticeable when looking at shower, there's no way housekeeping didn't see it. Who's in charge of this? *Trash all along both sides of the walk up entrance from the street, and not just new trash that blew up daily, it's been the same trash the whole time. The valet that leans up against his stand on his phone could be picking this up. It's a first impression, where is the pride? *The "washers are down" with no plan or date to be repaired. We packed light knowing we would utilize the laundry room. Perhaps there is no one available to come and fix them? But if it is a way to control costs, turning off the gas fireplace in the lobby that runs continuously would be better for the guests that count on this advertised amenity. *The ice makers in the refrigerators doesn't work (or were disconnected?) so you have to walk down to the front desk to get ice. *We called down to have pull out sofa bedding delivered to room but it's been 2 days and still have t seen it even with reminder calls. * The Shuttle... sigh, our biggest disappointment. It only runs from 9am-4:30 Monday thru Friday now. This is NOT good. When our child is inpatient at the hospital, my husband and I take turns sleeping there w/ him while the other comes back to the hotel for a decent nights sleep. The walk back to the hotel from CHOP is actually needed & often enjoyable, but not at night and is definitely not safe. The shuttle is why we stay here as opposed to one of the three hotels closest to CHOP. I called before booking and asked if a shuttle was still provided and was told yes, just not told about the reduction of the hours it was provided, and I didn't think to ask. *There is only a Wednesday night dinner- not sure if alcohol is still provided. It's an amenity most hotels don't offer so still nice that they do it, but if you rely on it as part of your stay here, just an FYI it's only one day a week now. *The breakfast is still pretty good tho and don't really see any changes. It's not "fantastic" but it is good and worth going downstairs for. There is always some type of eggs or egg dish, a meat like sausage or Turkey bacon, & potatoes. Four different types of cereals- this week was Corn Flakes, Honey Nut Cheerios, Raisin Bran, & Cinnamon Toast Crunch. There are apples, bananas, & oranges daily and every other day there's a big bowl of mixed of berries out. There's two waffle makers with all the toppings you'd want, various flavors of yogurt, a variety of breads for toast, bagels, scones, and 2 kinds of sweet breads, like pound cake slices, which are yummy. Teas, coffee, etc... So again worth the trip downstairs. The lady that works the breakfast "Margaret" is absolutely precious and is so hard working. I would sit back, sip my coffee and just watch her walk around cheerfully checking on people, cleaning non stop, and ensuring the buffet offerings were plenty as if you were dining in her own kitchen at home. She is an absolute GEM and I sincerely hope she is valued here. If she lived where I do, I would offer her a job with my company in a heartbeat. You can tell she takes pride in everything she does... People like this are hard to find these days and she is the reason I gave more stars for our stay here. Anyway, I think I've covered most everything. I know a lot of people count on the amenities at this hotel because they are away from home for more than s night or two. My advice would be to call and ask questions before you book to see if you can still count on these things. Overall the hotel is good. I think management needs step it up to ensure the standards are still in place regardless of the changes COVID has forced upon us. You can come up with an excuse for just about anything, but not bathroom mold & trash at the entrance.

Stayed here 12/14/22-12/16/22 with my children as a birthday gift trip to the German Christmas Market. I used 115,000 points and $255.74 to pay for the two nights (I am a diamond Hilton member). I usually choose this type of suite hotel so that we can have a kitchen to use. After a 5-hour drive from home, we arrived in the afternoon and were assigned room 920. The room was dirty beyond belief. There was blood stains on the ceiling in the bathroom (BLOOD!), there was dirt and mold in every crevice in the bathroom and shower. I went to use the microwave and the microwave plate was missing. i went to use the pots to heat water, and the interior of the pots were burned and unusable. The ceilings had dust sticking to every surface. The air handler had dirt all over, the mdf coffee table was broken, the light switches were falling out of the wall and felt unsafe, as well as being dirty, and the last straw: the dishwasher was FULL of dirty dishes from the last customer (which explained why there was no utensils, plates or cups on the shelves). After complaining, Nancy the manager said they would move us to a cleaner room and refund half the points. The next room 620 was also dirty, had a full dishwasher of gooey soap covered dishes and utensils, had dust on the ceiling, grime in the bathroom, broken laminate counters, and had no hot water for our showers. The front staff said they would credit us an <additional> 20,000 points due to the hot water issue. To date, the only points refunded are the 20,000 (about the value of a 20 minute stay) and every email to customer service comes back with a response which indicates the issue is poorly understood, even though pictures were provided. Do NOT stay at this hotel. Run away! Unfathomable how dirty this place was. Hilton should be ashamed. Pretty sure Paris or Conrad would not put up with rooms like this, so why should I??
