Stayed there 3 nights while attending convention. American Revolution history is my thing so I found Morris House very interesting. It is extremely close to Independence Hall and was built the same year the US Constitution was signed which is pretty cool for the history buff. Something like 2000 Revolutionary War dead are buried in nearby Washington Square. The facilities...

You are greeted by a young and friendly hotel staff that is very proud of their hotel. They give you a nice tour and tell you about the amenities. The room was expected to be small but quite cozy. Despite being on a busy street you wouldn't know it when in your room. Has lovely areas to sit and work...

The grounds and courtyard provided a delightful ambiance for the wedding brunch. The staff was friendly and accommodating, the common areas very well appointed, and the convenient location to the historic district an added...

Before even visiting Independence Hall there's history right here! with an on-site collection of ownership-info and photos about Morris House back to its construction in 1780, including major renos to the present 1930's style. Glad to have found such a glorious change from the same-old chains. A large landscaped courtyard, with adjacent bar and restaurant, offers a peaceful respite at...

Chose this because of the very high rating, the historic nature and the location convenient to the historic district. It succeeded on the third of these criteria but not the first two. Got one of their largest rooms, 502, and yes, it was large but not quaint, or cute, or historic, or romantic but simply a large and plain room....
