Detailed Reviews
We had a short 2 night stay and this hotel is located in the Navy Yard area but I believe it’s a newly developed part of the city south. It’s conveniently located but close to the highways to get you going to any part of the city. There is ample car parking courtesy of the hotel and was free during our stay. The check-in process was smooth with safety distance measures in place including hand sanitizers in most corners of common areas. There is a Bistro on the ground floor which is operated by Starbucks so it’s not free but not a lot of choices for breakfast menu. Rooms are very clean and mint I mean it’s a fairly new property. We would definitely recommend this property and gladly come back whenever we can.

This was a great hotel to stay during for a weekend getaway in philly. It was very clean and in response to Covid-19, there are many hand sanitizers around the lobby and on the floor of the room I was staying in, plus face mask are required. They do have a parking lot that you can park in but its $20 a night. However, the front desk attendant was kind enough to inform me that there is free parking literally right next to the hotel, which I did for the whole weekend and it worked out perfectly. The location is not walking distance to center city and the attractions of philly bu with a car, its very quick and we actually took a uber back and forth between the hotel and center city and it was very affordable. So even if you don't have a car, uber is a affordable option. And it was very peaceful and quiet at night during our stay. Unfortunately, there is no free breakfast and as for a microwave, you have to use the one in the lobby. But still, I would recommend this hotel especially if you don't want to pay the high prices at the other ones in center city.

I intentionally booked this hotel simply for the location for the Eagles game followed by the 76er's game the next night back in December.
While the proximity was the main reason for the booking the added bonus was the comfort of the beds and the service of the hotel.
Being my 3rd pit stop I have to say it was the first time during my trip I slept like a baby. Great night sleep. Also loved the fact that shampoo and shower gel was not via the small bottles which was environmentally friendly. Last but not least the bistro on the ground floor. Couldn't go past the chicken pot pie which was the ideal comfort food during Winter. Complimentary shuttle buses were also available within the Navy Yard precinct to the subway if you want to go downtown and it's a short walk to see the ghostly images of the decommissioned naval ships. All in all a great location not only for the sports nut but anyone who is visiting Philly!

We just stayed one night for a business meeting. Hotel is clean and quite. Parking cost $20 but staff suggested public parking behind hotel, also a few out front. Nice size rooms, meeting room and dining area. They offer an all day bistro which is a plus so did not have to hunt for food. Food was tasty (burger was yum, so are desserts). They have variety of wines and beers and Starbucks coffee and teas. Plenty amenities in room (the usual ie. Iron, hair dryer, safe, coffee, refrigerator) with plenty of shampoo, conditioner and body wash. Hand sanitizer stations by elevators. Impressed by the security Key system in elevators. Beds are comfortable but not use to a harder mattress but not a dealbreaker. Room was comfortable for just a one night stay. Staff was pleasant, friendly and accommodating. Did not have time to check surrounding area but not our first time here (usually stay in town), can see stadium from hotel. We would stay again.

The Marriott Courtyard at the old Philadelphia Navy Yard offers contemporary accommodations in a historic setting. Courtyards are fairly generic and fit a niche within the vast spectrum of Marriott brands and their identified standards....not luxury, but not in the lowest strata either. The room here equaled those in other Courtyards where I've stayed. The limited food offering was again similar, though I was impressed with their preparation of chicken wings and fries...for an evening snack, they were terrific! What does differentiate this property is the location amidst the redevelopment of this historic military base. Ensconced among the historic architectural remnants and old reserve ships, modern buildings are rising for new corporate tenants and this Courtyard is at the heart of it, serving business travelers and leisure visitors alike. It is also a "stone's throw" over to the the Sports Complex. I was quite comfortable here, enjoyed the history and it was convenient for my needs. I'm sure I'll be back.

I was surprised at how nice this hotel was. The moment you walk in you are greeted with a fresh and clean smell (like that Moist Towelette smell, which I happen to enjoy) and a friendly greeting from the front desk staff. We stayed in a king room which was clean and spacious. It is a very convenient location if you plan to catch a game or concert at the stadium. The hotel had snacks and beverages for sale and Bistro if you want something more than chips. The Bistro was a neat hang out spot. If I end up staying in Philadelphia again, this will be my hotel of choice.

LOVE this hotel location-My boyfriend stayed here for 2 nights for a concert & flyers game, just a short 10 minute walk under a lighted sidewalk. Staff was very nice- allowed us to check in 30 mins beforehand due to traveling. The hotel was very clean from the lobby to our rooms. The only issue I had was the key cards- we had issues with our key cards especially in the elevator. We went to front desk the second day requested for new cards. The gentleman at the front desk explained that there is a glitch in their systems sometimes, and proceed to get us new key cards. We decided to explore in the inner city which is only a 10 min uber drive. Park on street for free to void the 20 dollars per night parking at the hotel. Overall, great experience and will be coming back for near future!

This hotel was welcoming and the front desk staff were super helpful. We attended a concert at Wells Fargo Center and the hotel provided a pre-printed map of walking directions. The Bistro was high priced and couldn’t accommodate a food allergy to my comfort level, so we didn’t eat there. Not many food options within walking distance. Wish there was a pool but would absolutely stay here again for closeness to concert venue.

Stayed for 1 night on April 17, 2021. Young woman working the counter that night didn't acknowledge Marriott status and no mention of any room upgrade (it was late, I just drove 3 hours, so I just wanted to crash). I asked if I could grab a bottle of water since most, if not all Courtyards I've been to will provide a free bottle of water upon arriving but she said I already opted for points as a welcome gift so... I then had to remind her that I requested late check-out for the next morning and made sure she knew it was going to be 4pm (since I am a Platinum Elite member). Great location for events at the Wells Fargo Center (I was there specifically for Islanders hockey) but staff could be a bit more welcoming.

If you have been In Marriott Courtyards you will know what to expect, and the plus on this one is it is pretty new and therefore everything works and is nice and modern. If you haven’t been to Courtyards before they are decent but breakfast is purchasable in a cafe concession. This cuts out the annoyance of paying $20 for a largely unused breakfast buffet, although over $5 for a small yoghurt and the smallest available black coffee is not a major bargain. This hotel is most likely to be used by those visiting one of the three arenas which are close by for basketball, concerts etc, or the new offices close by the navy yard, in which the hulks of warships can be seen.

Bus is cheaper right up broad st
We are about 4 miles from that location. During the week, the Navy Yard has a shuttle bus to center city but not on the weekends. We are .8 mile from the subway station that also goes right to center city. The Notary Hotel is right across the street from Love Park if you were looking for something closer to that area. Enjoy your trip to Philadelphia.
About 20 mins walk. It's a pretty easy walk.
