This is by far, hands down, the best Choice Hotels property I’ve ever stepped foot in. The staff was friendly, the rooms were large, and everything was very clean. Weekend breakfast was good and the breakfast attendant was friendly and chatty! The location was perfect, just a couple blocks from Reading Terminal Market. There’s plenty of great Chinese restaurants surrounding the property. I highly recommend this property and we’ll definitely be back! Thanks for a great stay!

I really appreciated of my week long hotel stay. I got an excellent price of 30% off for booking a room for more than 6 days. Customer service was excellent. Katrina helped me to scan some business documents. My room was clean and comfortable. I like the free breakfast and that coffee and juice are available 24 hours. The hotel is ideally located in Chinatown with many restaurants and tourist sights within walking distance. My only complaint was that the carpets could have used a good steam cleaning and that the hotel does not offer free parking. I had to pay an extra $200 to park my car for a week at the lot next to the hotel.

This hotel is located right in the heart of Chinatown in Philadelphia, within easy walking distance of numerous great restaurants as well as the Reading Terminal and the Convention Center. The room itself was comfortable and clean. The staff was friendly.
This is, however, not one of Choice Hotel's better properties. It was hard to find the hotel because there was no sign on the building, only one by the parking lot that was confusing. When we pulled into the parking lot and asked where the hotel was, we got yelled at by the rude attendant. The hotel itself does not have parking, but it is inches away from a parking lot that charges $25 cash $28 credit. The price is, however, great for the area. You can also find on-street parking, but you have to keep feeding the parking kiosk.
The carpets are badly stained and show a lack of attention to upkeep. The hotel charges $5 if you don't return the little plastic key card, which I have never seen at a Choice brand before. The front desk person said that was because the owner tries to squeeze every penny out of the place. That would explain the badly stained carpets in the hallways.
When we decided to extend our stay in Philadelphia, we decided to stay elsewhere.

This is probably fine for a one night stay but if you need to stay longer look into the AirBnB's in the area. Cheaper, cleaner, quieter and the food is nothing to book a stay here for.
The staff is very pleasant but there were numerous issues with my stay. The safe didn't work and I ask to have that fixed right after I checked in but that never happened. The coffee maker dripped hot water right where you would reach for the cup (if you are right handed) and it burned me so I dropped the cup of coffee everywhere. I am sure I am not the first person to do that and can only image what that carpet is like in that area.
The breakfast is a bit of a joke. For 2 days there was no coffee, then OJ was out for 2 days and when replaced it was a frozen jug so no OJ that day either. The hot food came and went and they ran out of yogurt early in the week and never went to the store to get more. We did have watermelon one day which was a nice surprise.
If you stay in the front rooms you look directly into the apartments across the street so had to keep the curtains closed. If you stay in the back I guess you look at the alley. The area this is in is busy and noisy and the sidewalks are nasty with water and pee all over.
The rooms are noisy and I could hear the person next door snoring and anytime people where in the hall. Funny they call this the "Sleep Inn" cuz you won't get any good sleep here.
What is with the lack of water here? If you want drinking water you have to buy it from the vending machine. (Tip, go to the store on the corner and buy a case for $6, even if you don't need it all it is a better deal than the vending machine) Water is necessary and there is none to be found, even in the breakfast area.
I did like the tall shower head but be careful as the water is extremely hot and comes very quick. Same with the sink, it will burn you if you aren't careful. I mean, hot water is great but this is unsafe.
Pretty sure the bed is not a queen size as it felt small. My remote control didn't have a cover over the batteries so they are exposed. This was a minor issue but just let's you know how things are (not) taken care of here.

The elevator was broken on my second night so I got to take the stairs to the 6th floor. The elevator was STILL broken when I checked out the next day. The door to the second floor, where breakfast was supposed to be, was marked staff only so I got to miss breakfast too.
You could see marks from where the hotel used to be a smoking hotel (lots of old cigarette burns), it smelled like fresh paint not cigarettes thankfully.
The sole redeeming feature was the bathtub, it was super deep and big. The towels and sheets were also surprisingly soft for a hotel.
tl:dr if the elevator had worked I would have rated 4/5 but having to carry my luggage down 6 flights of stairs really soured me on the experience

The hotel is in an area of town that I would not be comfortable walking alone at night. It took 50 minutes to check in. I have never seen such dirty chairs in a hotel waiting area. I was not given the rate I had reserved. My check-out receipt shows a credit which was never given. I spent an hour waiting for Choice customer service but never spoke to a person. The room was clean. But the door had been broken into and was loose so that any hallway motion made the door bang. When the fire alarm went off at 10:00 at night, I discovered I didn't even have a phone in the room. STAY AWAY!

This hotel was quite disapointing in several ways. First, it was dated, inside and out. Also, it was the smallest room that I have ever had at a Choice Hotel, and I travel to many cities in 10 states for my work. Also, they didn't have a breakfast anymore, but just provided a couple of things in a paper bag. And last but not least, the price was much higher than the average Choice Hotel, but was not in a good area of downtown. And they have NO free parking like every other hotel I have stayed in, The parking was $28.50 for one night, and there were no other options, so that was on top of the overpriced room. They were nice at the counter and their Wi-Fi was good, but honestly this was the most disapointing room that I have had in a long time. I almost always have positive reviews, but I couldn't do it on this one.

This is our second visit to Philly and we stayed here both times. We like the parking next door and the price of the rooms. It is a convenient, bare bones stay in a clean room. The staff is friendly and efficient. Our only negative comment is that the carpet was stained. On our first visit, pre-COVID, everything was great. This time, the carpet was a turn-off. Otherwise the room and bath were very clean. We will probably stay here again with the hope that the carpet might be better.
They do have a breakfast served at 6:30am. We didn’t try it but it smelled good in the elevator.
The hotel is in Chinatown which is a plus if you want to try a variety of food or Karaoke.
We like to walk and this location is not far from everywhere we want to go in the city. For the times when we decided to drive, our car was right there. When you arrive, you pay for the number of days then park your car yourself. This way you can come and go as you please. It’s not a large lot but we have not had any trouble getting in and out.

We Chose the hotel because it is near the bus station.
You can also walk to the shopping area as well as to the historic area.
The room was very comfortable.
Its weak points are: 1) weak wifi connection 2) they were not flexible with the breakfast service. The buffet is closed and they were supposed to give as a tray. Unfortunately, we were 30’ late and they refused to give it to us 🙁

I stay at the Sleep Inn Center City. It was average at best. Check in staff were very friendly and welcomed me as a Diamond member. The room was ok. Beds were very comfortable and the AC worked well. However, the room was tired. Furniture was outdated. I was disappointed in the cleanliness of the room. Black marks all over the walls, a ketchup stain on the wall. Looked like it had been there awhile. For $200 a night I expected more. Breakfast was included and it was the usual fare. Both plenty of hot and cold choices. There is no free parking. Parking is available next door for $25. The is an Asian restaurant in the building and it’s open late.

Yes breakfast is 6am on the weekends both sat & Sunday and the foods not bad
Hi Nick, You would only pay for one day of parking. $25.00
It is about 10m-15m to the hotel and when we were there it was completely safe
