This was the second hotel on the recommended list provided by the federal government when I was selected for jury duty and I was si pleasantly surprised. All of the staff we very friendly and helpful. The hotel was extremely clean. The bed and pillows were very comfortable. The water pressure in the shower was strong. As a rewards member, two bottle of water were provided at check-in but there was also a wonderful water filter system where you could refill bottles. The breakfast spread was great with both hot and cold items as well as gluten free options too. If I have a need to come back to Philly, I will definitely stay in this hotel again.

A quick 2-day trip to Philly led me to this hotel, Staff were amazing and allowed an early check-in, rooms were clean and well maintained and had plenty of space. Breakfast comes included in many rooms and is offered every morning. Will definitely stay again

My wife and I were actually across from Scotland visiting my son and his family in Baltimore when we decided to pay a short visit to Philadelphia. Chose this hotel as it was decently priced and seemed to be in a good location. We were not disappointed. Greeted by the most pleasant and cheerful staff that we have encountered anywhere, we knew instantly we were onto a winner. From the moment we arrived the staff were so helpful and nothing was too much bother for any of them. Allocated a room on the 15th floor, the room was above our expectations, cleanliness was exceptional and the room had all the facilities you would expect from a Holiday Inn. The Hotel was in a great location and close to all major landmarks, also in the vicinity of the hotel were numerous restaurants, pubs, cafes etc that catered for every taste. Breakfast was served between 06.30 and 10.30 and was of a really good standard with a nice selection of hot and cold dishes and a good selection of hot and cold drinks, a really nice way to start your day. We had no issues with walking around the area and felt very safe in doing so. All in all a very pleasant visit and a final mention to the wonderful staff, you were a credit to your Hotel and your City.…

DO NOT STAY HERE IF YOU WANT TO SLEEP. The nightclub closes at 2am. When i called the front desk at 1:45am asking about noise, the I was told that people who want a quiet hotel don't stay in the middle of the city in the Gayborhood. I guess I should have read the reviews better before I booked. Worst noise pollution at a hotel ever and I have been all over the world.

I stayed at this hotel for a week during a business trip. The hotel is nice and clean, and the rooms were nice, clean, and spacious. The staff was great. I spoke to many different staff members during my stay, and they were all friendly, polite, and accommodating to my needs. The breakfast was at the same time every morning which I thought was great. I didn't have to worry about it opening or closing at different times, even on the weekends. The food was good and there was a good selection. I would be happy to stay here again. The fitness center was okay. It has the normal hotel fitness stuff with adequate space. Treadmills, a couple ellipticals, a stationary bike, mats, dumbbells, and a couple bands.

Our stay was short but very pleasant. Felt very safe walking the streets as many people were around even in the side streets. Hubby and I were able to enjoy the Food Market and enjoy the fare offered. From check-in to check-out everything was smooth. We quickly left to get a bite and take a walk around. We were not disappointed as the Friday evening bustle added to our enjoyment of our time at Holiday Inn Express.

Our recent stay at this Holiday Inn at 1305 Walnut was great. Within walking distance to the convention center, nice breakfast (great pancakes), comfortable rooms and really great folks working there who were always pleasant and helpful. We've been brand loyal to IHG for many years, including under a previous name/IHG account. Recent stays to several locations have left me thinking I needed to rethink my IHG loyalty, but we decided to give it another try. This location is fantastic! The front desk staff were so helpful with directions and suggestions for places to visit. The housekeeper for our floor was also super helpful the first day (although we didn't require services the next day). The morning breakfast staff was friendly and quick to refill items as needed. The hotel itself is in a great location downtown. It is within walking distance to Reading Terminal Market and Independence Hall. There are coffee shops close by as well as restaurants. The room itself was MASSIVE and roomy. I wasn't sure what we'd get since we were using reward nights but we felt spoiled. The bathroom toilet is a little cramped, but hey - it's a hotel! We would absolutely stay here again should we return to Philly. Travel Tips: We arrived by Lyft from the William H. Grey train station, but I believe there are other options. Eastern State Penitentiary wasn't on our original itinerary, but it is a moving experience. Don't miss the Philadelphia Art Museum - plan two days for it if you can. Grab a pastrami Reuben at Hershel's in Reading Terminal Market, even if you aren't a sandwich eater. It is DIVINE! We walked to Independence Hall and the sightseeing bus. We had a CityPass from Groupon that covered many of the Philly attractions although we ran out of time to use our last option. I highly recommend the hop-on/hop-off bus. I am EXTREMELY picky about where We stay when traveling. You really would like to find a place that is JUST as nice as your home. I read the reviews from This Holiday inn express/center city. I wasnt concerned at all, cause all the reviews were good. After traveling 6 hours on the train, we went to check in, and discovered that the computers had crashed, and we couldnt check in as of yet, they were in the middle of solving the problem. They informed us to wait in the lounge, and as soon as they got back up, they would inform us. they continued to check in on us, and the others to make sure we were comfortable, and they even gave us each a bag with snacks and water in it for the inconvenience. they really could not have been sorry enough for the computers, and they kept apologizing. When they finally checked us in, they were efficient in meeting our requests, checked us in quickly, and we got to our room. Room was a KING STANDARD. Was a pretty large space, plenty of room, clean, very clean, comfortable bed. could not say anything wrong about it. they also have a pretty good breakfast from 6:30am to 10:30 am, The staff which work in the breakfast area were so friendly as well. Throughout our stay there, everytime we passed by the receptionist desk, they would ask how we were doing, and make sure we were enjoying our stay. there was not 1 negative thing i can say about ALL the staff at this Holiday inn. Even in the morning, while eating Breakfast, the manager visited all the tables asking us how everything was. It was really a great experience we had at this Hotel. Recently, my partner and I stayed at this hotel while he underwent eye surgery at WillsEye Hospital. Needless to say, it was a stressful time for us. The entire hotel staff - and in particular the Front Desk crew- couldn’t have been more generous , kind and helpful. They were able to lower our stress levels and help us get through the surgery without having to concern ourselves with other issues. Thank you, Staff, for making our stay a positive one!
