We rented a room for three here a week or so ago--my husband, 14-year-old daughter and I--and had such a nice experience. The room itself was very cozy; I kinda never wanted to live the huge four-poster king size bed. I'm not a breakfast eater, so didn't partake, but reports from my husband and daughter suggest it was fabulous. The...

My boyfriend and I were in the Gettysburg area for a wedding and decided to take advantage of the trip by exploring the town and getting an authentic experience of a bed and breakfast. Raphael Inn was one the only b&b with vacancy so we took a leap of faith and tried it out. WE ARE SO HAPPY WE DID....

My wife and I spent one night at the inn on 6 April while we looked at the area as a possible retirement location. Alex was very helpful in describing her (mostly positive) experiences living in Gettysburg. We slept well, breakfast was excellent and we enjoyed Olive and Heidi, the house dogs, too!

When in Gettysburg, the place to stay is the Raphael Inn B&B! The rooms are wonderful, even appointed in period furnishings and historic memorabilia. But the true pleasure of the stay was getting to know Alexandra and George. Wow, what great Hosts! And their two dogs, Heidi and Olive just add to the pleasure. After two days with Alexandra and...

Beautiful people; beautiful environment; beautiful breakfasts too! A wonderful place to stay while visiting Gettyburg. The owners have created a beautifully decorated, peaceful place to stay (3 suites) with breakfasts that are works of art! Convenient (but not too close!) to downtown Gettysburg, I easily walked to the square, leaving the car at home in the convenient off-street parking area....

I truly can't say enough how wonderful my experience was at the Raphael House inn. Alexandra and George are more then just "inn keepers." They embraced you like you were a part of their family. We felt so at home in their cozy, well thought out space. Every room is cozy and the decor makes your soul smile. Oh and...

Alexandra and George open their home and make you feel like you are a member of their family. The room was very nicely decorated and the bed was extremely comfortable. The food was not only amazing but the presentation was beautiful. The conversation was riveting and the suggestions and information about things to do and see were endless. We will...

Stayed here in August 2016. George and Alexander were great hosts, and their two dogs Heidi and "the little termite" (Olive) really made us feel at home. We are from England and were touring the USA and had booked to tour the Gettysburg battle site. The place is in a lovely part of town, just near the university, and a...

Alexandra and George present a superior experience. The rooms were clean and very accommodating. Their knowledge of Gettysburg was very helpful. Especially regarding restaurants. They are upbeat and willing to help any way they could. We highly recommend them.
