My Husband and I chose this B&B from the list of Inns on the registry for the weekend of the Historic Holiday Inns tour in Gettysburg, and the great reviews on Trip advisor. We arrived early Friday evening and were greeted by George and Alexandra and of course their two lovely dogs, Olive and Heidi. The warm and inviting greeting...

My husband and I love to travel and have visited Gettysburg many times and stayed at many B&Bs but this is our first visit to the Raphael Inn. It ranks right at the top as one of our very favorites, not just in Gettysburg but anywhere. Alexandra and George are so welcoming you feel as though you are visiting old...

While some will extol the virtues of the property and its amenities, our visit to the Raphael was most enjoyable because of our hosts. We knew in advance that our stay would have to be brief, but George and Alexandra made sure that we got the absolute most out of our 18 hours there. Rather than promoting their personal choices,...

Just spent the Remembrance Day weekend at the Raphael Inn. Stayed in the Lincoln room. What a wonderful place. Warm and cozy. Feels like a home away from home. Alexandera will do anything she can to make your stay comfortable. Was able to park off the street and leave the car there all weekend, so much easier to walk around...

I and my family just spent 4 nights at the Raphael Inn Bed and Breakfast. Our stay was outstanding!!! This is a quaint bed and breakfast that has 3 rooms with all the necessary amenities. Each room is clean, light, and thoughtfully decorated to fit a theme (e.g., Abraham Lincoln room—trains, train stations from the area). Our room was thoughtfully...

B&B reviews are invariably influenced by the kindness, advice, help and friendliness etc.of the hosts . George and Alexandra comfortably tick all those boxes. They lent us their self guided battlefield tour CD; suggested restaurants; supplied us with a lot of information and were very easy to talk to. George also reassuringly advised on an orange warning light in our...

If you want to stay at a B&B where you feel welcomed and appreciated, the Raphael Inn is the place for you. The fabulous hosts not only accommodated our late evening arrival but genuinely cared about our daily adventures with advice and recognition of our 13th wedding anniversary with slice of dessert and special designed greeting card. My husband and...

I stayed at the Raphael Inn (in the Lincoln Room) for 4 nights (Oct. 6-9, 2014) and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. The room itself was very well appointed, quiet, and comfortable. The inn is within walking distance of the town square and many of the restaurants, etc., so a very convenient location. The innkeepers, George and Alexandria are excellent hosts...

We had a relaxing stay at the Raphael Inn. We were greeted with tea and brownies and a welcoming smile from Alexandra. She took us to our room and introduced us to the California Rose Suite. Every detail in the room added to the theme. She had suggestion where to eat, where to go and what to do. Breakfast was...

This is a very nice three bedroom B&B. We stayed in the Lincoln room which has a separate sitting area overlooking the quiet back yard. The TV is there which worked out great since my husband stays up later than I do. Alexandra and George are breakfast cooks of the "gourmet" variety...diet before you go! Of course they were very...
