I decided to surprise my sister with a grand weekend in Gettysburg at the end of February. My husband and I and stayed there back 2006. Since then the inn has added the "Tack room", I cant say enough about this room. It was a...More
This B&B was a standout due to its proximity to the Gettysburg battlefields and its pet friendliness. Accessed by a bumpy road off the highway, you first see the 19th century barn and quickly find out that this is still a working farm. Our suite...More

I'm bringing my 10-year old grandson for a two-day/one night trip 11/2/15 to 11/3/15. He's a huge Civil War buff, and I want to check that your morning history lesson will be offered when we are there.
Also, are any restaurants for dinner close by? Walking distance or short drive?

No restaurants within walking distance, but a 10 minute car ride gets you to lots of choices. Try the Dobbin House, and eat in the tavern downstairs. Very unique.
