The place is beautiful. We spent only one night there with our dog, but it was perfect for us. Strong dog accommodations and services (they will dog walk), pretty decent breakfast, very lovely and spacious rooms and bathrooms, and friendly hosts. Minor downsides: they had a historian come in Sunday morning before breakfast for free which is a great idea....

My husband and I just got back from a two night stay in The Tack Room. We were newbies to this bed and breakfast and we were quite impressed. This room is amazing. Since it is located in the barn, it is separated from the main house by a short walk which makes it your own little hide a way....

We took the family here to the swan cottage and loved the seclusion. It is a separate house all on it's own and has been beautifully remodeled. A very large bathroom with a big jet tub was definitely enjoyed by us as were the massaging chairs too. We had the kids sleep in the living room on rollaways while my...

I stayed here with my little sister, two cousins, and grandparents. We were here for only two nights, so that we could spend one full day in Gettysburg (to tour the battlefield, cemetery, and museum). We booked two rooms, one for myself and my male cousin, and one for my grandparents, little sister, and female cousin. Our room was very...

We booked a last minute trip to Battlefield B&B and we're very pleasantly surprised! Excellent breakfast, and we were able to learn so much about the Civil War history from the experts who came every morning. They were also very dog friendly, lots of room to walk him on the grounds, and horses and cats to play with!

My husband and I took our scotties on vacation, one of the older ones has cancer and it was his "special" trip. Most of our vacation was budget, but I decided to splurge for one night! We got The Tack Room, under the barn. Travelling with dogs, I wanted to be in an area that was easy access, and away...

I am very happy to hear that our hospitality experience made you and your Scotties happy. Bear in mind that the next time you visit us you do not necessarily have to choose the Tack Room to avoid a pet fee. We do not charge pet fees for having pets in any of our 12 rooms here at Battlefield Bed...

We booked the Houghtelin's Hideaway room for 1 night. The good points, bathroom, soaking tub, walk in shower were fantastic. Average points, the room is located on the ground level underneath the solarium room. The room has a semi private patio area. The patio is underneath the upper deck of the solarium. Housekeeping is lacking in this area. The table...

June 18th one-night booking. My wife and I were thoroughly delighted with the Inn, the staff, our accommodations (Hart Artillery room), the breakfast and the historical presentation on Sunday morning. Wish we could have booked another night. Plan to do so next time. A great experience from first arrival (our host was delightful) to our departure. The historical lecture/presentation was...

I spent three days at the Battlefield B and B as part of a writers' group. The hosts are the most attentive and gracious couple I have ever had at an American B and B. Their breakfasts alone are worth the entire price, but their attention to the little things that make you comfortable is exceptional. The home is both...

We greatly enjoyed hosting you and all of the other writer's retreat guests. We would love to have all of you back for future retreats and personal visits. By the way, the original construction date of the field stone farm house is 1809. The barn on our property was built between 1810 and 1820. I look forward to seeing you...

Unique lodging in an 1809 Civil War farmhouse on 30 private acres of the Gettysburg Battlefield. The farmhouse caters to history fans and vacationers with children and pets. Garden, Solarium, and Historic Barn Venue weddings and events are a specialty. Swan Cottage is a separate house with two jetted tubs and a full kitchen.
