We had a 1st floor room in rear of building by the pool. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. The decorations in the lobby and the fireplace really added to our Christmas enjoyment. The breakfast was very good with a nice selection. The staff was very friendly and accommodating and we will stay here again on our...

We are so glad that you enjoyed your visit and found your room to be clean and comfortable. Our lobby is so beautiful at Christmas. It looks like a picture from a country magazine. We want our guests to feel at home and we think the lobby gives you that feeling. We hope you will come back and see us...

We have stayed at this hotel several times. We love the location as it is easy to walk to several restaurants and shops. The hotel room is always clean. We love staying in the Annex building, but the one downside is the doors are very thin and you can easily hear outside noise. If it is a busy weekend, you...

Thank you for taking the time to tell us about your visits. We are glad to hear that you always find your room to be clean and comfortable. The rooms in the Annex Building are indeed beautiful. Unlike the main building, the Annex Building is stick built, therefore you tend to hear more noise from outside. The main building is...

So we were there for the Strange Escapes weekend, and we booked right when the event was announced, which turned out to be great. We got the costs of the various rooms, and they had a King suite room (which ended up being at the annex building, which was more private) which was not much more than regular room. This...

We apologize for the issue with the hot water heater. As soon as we were made aware of the problem we called the repairman. The company we use knows how important our guests are to us and they always come as soon as they can. It seems that these types of things always happen on the weekends or at night...

Great location. Walk to everthing in town. Rooms were clean. Great stay. Warm and cozy lobby with fireplace. Hot coffee as well. No need to use the car. It was our first stay at the 1863 inn and would definitely recommend it to anyone visiting Gettysburg.

The location is the key for this hotel. It is in a great spot, near the battlefield, near restaurants and within walking distance of the downtown (square) area. The hotel itself is dated but it's clean, the service is good, employees are courteous. There's plenty of parking, they have a pool too. I like the hotel and would return. I've...

Thank you for taking the time to tell us about your visit. We are glad that you found your room to be clean and were pleased with the service and the staff. We have already started our renovation process for the off season-new mattresses-chairs-granite top vanities in the bathrooms-new window treatments-flooring and fresh paint. Each year we renovate a floor...

This hotel is right in town, walking distance to dinning, historical sites and some of the battle field. The room was clean, the bed comfortable and the breakfast was good. We will stay there again. The staff was friendly and made our stay pleasant.

For quite a good rate through Hotwire, my daughter and I stayed for two nights at the 1863 Inn. It's a bit dated (not in an historical sense), but nonetheless a very good stay for us. We are glad to hear that you were happy with the hotel. Actually, we were originally a Holiday Inn. We decided to drop the franchise and go independent years ago and have never looked back.
