We are sitting in our hotel room this morning after a horrible nights sleep. We brought our dog who is better trained than the tweakers above us. We had asked for an upstairs room and were told since we had our dog that we had...More
Certainly not a 5 star hotel but a good motel. An older motel recently re-modeled. Customer Service was excellent. Front desk manned 24 hours a day. Free breakfast is as good as any chain hotel and the coffee is great. Free cookies every weekend. Each...More
Great place to stay! Beautiful views, friendly staff and the breakfast was the best we had on our 10 day road trip! Lots of free dvds to choose from if you’re staying in and great dinner recommendations.
This is a two star motel at 4 star prices. The location is only good because it is directly on the water and the view is spectacular. It is actually about a mile to the city center and it is not an easy walk. The...More
The Astoria Riverwalk Inn is not really walking distance of anything but they do have bikes that you are able to check out and use. The room was large and clean but the best reason for staying here is the view. All rooms have a...More
Originally opened as the Red Lion – Thunderbird Motor Inn and later simply as the Red Lion, the Astoria Riverwalk Inn was the town’s first waterfront hotel, established in the late 1960s. The Port of Astoria …Moreowns the facility, and in September 2015 contracted with new local ownership to assume and improve the Riverwalk Inn operations. The new ownership group is comprised of seasoned business management professionals with significant experience in commercial property development and hospitality, including the development and initial launch of the award-winning Hotel Elliott in downtown Astoria. With a new operating team in place since September 2015, literally everything is new at the Astoria Riverwalk Inn. From the luxurious cotton sheets, redesigned dining area and lobby adorned with local, original artwork; the addition of a continental breakfast; extensive landscaping and general updates throughout (including lots of fresh paint!), guests will gain a sense of renewed care and attention to detail. Other complimentary amenities include a business center just off the lobby, upgraded high-speed Wi-Fi, a DVD library and “Beach Cruiser” bikes for exploring Astoria’s acclaimed four-mile long Riverwalk. We think you’ll find changes to the Astoria Riverwalk Inn create an inviting atmosphere for a restful stay on the waterfront. We hope to see you soon! Less

There are many ground floor rooms with outside entrances. Beware, there aren't many restaurants in the area, and we ended up not staying there because of the location. The marina seems okay, but the industrial out-buildings around sorta made the whole place seem eerie and perhaps a good place for not-so-nice people to hang out at night. Good luck. At least the staff was excellent with us.
