We were in room 311 which gave us fabulous views. Although we got out and explored, it was equally nice to just sit and enjoy the views, the boats, the tidal variations and bird activity. Everyone was friendly and we would absolutely recommend this spot. Love the history as well.

Our recent visit was the first time that we had returned to Cannery Pier since the renovations. I am a big fan of the improvements. The hotel looks brand new and immaculately kept. Our room was one of the best designed hotel rooms that I have stayed in. A very spacious king room to with a window seat, couch, and table and chairs. Ample storage with good closet space, dresser drawers, shelving units, and bedside tables with drawers. Room to spread out and a place for everything. Large coffee bar with a sink and fridge. I can't say enough about the individual heating and cooling unit. Such an improvement over thermostats in hotel rooms that sometimes seem to be centrally controlled. There's also a fireplace. The large bathroom contained a stand alone shower and large claw foot tub and separate water closet. Ample outlets for all of your electronics and good lighting. Breathtaking, hypnotic views. Being 600 feet out into the river, I felt like I was on a cruise ship. We saw so many ships and other watercraft as well as all sorts of birds. The staff was friendly and helpful. Shout out to Chauffeur Justin. The breakfast buffet was better than average hotel offerings with delicious little egg soufflés, sausage, ham, a nice selection of pastries and other selections. Very nice Happy Hour offerings including a good Pinot Noir, salmon and cream cheese and fig and goat cheese snacks as well as cheese, crackers and fruit. The few cons would be that the mattress was not the most comfortable. Not uncomfortable, but not the memory foam mattress that I'm used to. I liked the soft feather pillow but my husband would have preferred something firmer. The breakfast bar only had apricot jam with no other choices.

So much to see and do in this river city, and when you’re done, a great room to relax in. We enjoyed the wine hour in the lobby bar, with delicious appetizers using the local smoked salmon, before walking over to a nearby bistro for the best dinner.

We found this hotel on the internet, the pictures looked nice and the views were supposed to be nice. We found it to be even nicer than the online description! Room was beautiful, with a fireplace, balcony, and big soaking tub with louvered doors that provided a view out the windows. The room decor was extremely tasteful - everything fit and flowed. And no expense seemed to have been spared. Views of the Columbia river were wonderful. We saw a seal right outside our window, and enjoyed the ships passing right by our window. Staff was extremely friendly and helpful. We did an impromptu tour of Astoria in the vintage Rolls Royce. Highly recommended. Overall a wonderful experience. One of the most enjoyable and relaxing stays we have ever had.

The Cannery Pier Hotel and Spa is an absolute gem that offers some of the most gorgeous views encounter. From the moment you step into your room, you're greeted by stunning panoramic views of the Columbia River. The hotel boasts an unparalleled riverfront view, giving an immersive experience that captures the beauty of the Pacific Northwest. One of the most unique features of the Cannery Pier Hotel and Spa is the stunning view of the Astoria-Megler Bridge. This iconic bridge spans the Columbia River, connecting Oregon and Washington state. The view from the hotel is mesmerizing as you watch the bridge lighting reflexing on the water in the evening. In addition to the beautiful views and luxurious accommodations, the hotel also offers an exceptional spa experience. The on-site spa provides a range of treatments designed to help you relax, and the hot tub and sauna offer the perfect place to unwind. If you're looking for a truly memorable stay in Astoria while soaking up the beauty of the Pacific Northwest, look no further than the Cannery Pier Hotel and Spa. We loved it and can't wait to return!

The Cannery Pier Hotel was one of my top two hotels in Oregon. After the remodel, however, I found a decline in ambiance and attention to detail from a customer perspective. I personally liked the decor better BEFORE the remodel. The colors seemed stark and much less inviting. Since it was my 65th birthday, I brought a bottle of champagne. Now that there's a bar, the rooms are not stocked with wine glasses or a wine opener. Additionally, there used to be small microwave's in the room; no longer. The location of this hotel is utterly special; I hope they improve quickly -- the current price/night seems overpriced for the level of service.

Their biggest draw is the view. We had a corner one king bedroom suite and everything was very clean and welcoming. The staff was friendly and available for questions about the hotel and the area. The sea gulls gathered right at our balcony each morning and put on a show for us. The breakfast was filling with a very nice eating area. Our room was cleaned daily (which is no longer assumed in the post - COVID world). If I had to pick one thing to change it would be the shower. For the large luxurious bathroom the shower was very small. There was a large jet tub with a large window for views....but that made for a very small shower area. I would also suggest a microwave in the breakfast area. They put out a very nice breakfast with hot food, muffins/bagels and fruits. They also offer some nice snacks in the evening. Although cookies at 7:00 PM was advertised we never saw them.

This hotel was so much fun to watch the ships come in. The car service was also very fun and both drivers were very knowledgeable about the area and even changed our restaurant picks both times and it was worth it.

We had such a wonderful stay at the Cannery Pier Hotel and a perfect weekend in Astoria. Everything about our stay was pure magic: the hotel, the staff, the restaurant (Fedé - try it, you won’t be disappointed!), the town and the perfect, sunny weather despite the Snowpocalypse.
