My husband and I stayed here for an evening this past weekend. I made reservations the week before online.. It tends to fill up so I would recommend booking in advance. I thought we got what we paid for! The area is beautiful and took our breaths away! The room was simple yet charming and the views were awesome. Although...

This lodge has two sections, the old, original section built in the 40's and the newer motel style area. I have stayed in both. The rooms in the older section may not be as modern, but the two I have stayed at were very nice with many touches like chimneys (not in use though), wood ceilings, wood floors etc. These...

Based on the reviews, I was expecting a rundown lodge with paper thin walls. That WAS NOT the case at all. This lodge was beautiful on the hillside, the wood was very pretty, and everything was nice and clean. We did not have any problem with noise either. Great stay!

The view and location is amazing!!! When reserving a room we I was not informed the central air is not working in the rooms. The Indian Lodge has portable units in several rooms with a hose running out the window covered by a chocolate brown shower curtain. Yes your view out the window is a portable air conditioner hose covered...

We stayed here with family on a vacation in the Big Bend area. The rooms were historic and comfortable and our stay was delightful. We will be returning. It was constructed by the CCC in he 1930s and beautifully maintained. It is a real treasure in a very beautiful setting in the Davis Mountains State Park.

Score! It's so easy to see why it's difficult to get a room here! It's a wonderful, friendly, comfortable facility in a beautiful setting. We enjoyed everything about it, the facility, the staff, the restaurant, the pool, the hiking, the sunrise, the outside seating, the friendly and comfortable nature of all we encountered. Would love to spend a week here!

Our family of 4 loved this quaint little lodge, and felt it was a wonderful value. The room was wonderful... rustic, but updated. And clean! The wildlife is abundant and the lodge is close to many walking trails. There are several places to sit and relax around the lodge itself. My kids enjoyed the pool. We stayed in August, and...

We visited Indian Lodge for three nights on a trip through West Texas. Indian Lodge has a fascinating history and is a beautiful building in the middle of the Davis Mountains. It is remote (although the little town of Fort Davis is only 10 min drive), but you are rewarded with incredible wildlife. We didn't hike in the mountains, but...

We stayed at this lodge the first night of a week long visit to the Davis Mountains State Park. After a 8 hour road trip, we were ready to relax. The room was so very beautiful. The beds were comfortable and everything was clean. We especially loved the sliding wood shutters that darkened the room until we were ready to...

The Indian Lodge is remarkable in that it was built by hand by American workers during the Depression. It has been kept up through the years with modernizations like new bathrooms and central heat/air. The history of the lodge is so interesting and the rooms are beautiful (in a craftsman, lodge style). I stayed in Room 124, with one double...
