We stayed at Limpia West. Very dated. Room was clean. Bathroom needed maintenance and updating. Linoleum was cracked and broken, and we had to use a towel to stop leak at the door from shower. After being in Fort Davis and seeing other options, would have preferred the smaller motel/b&b options in town.

Wonderful old hotel, very friendly staff. Beds and bathrooms great. Very quiet and quaint. Lots of history at the hotel and in the area. No meals at the hotel but available next door at the Bristo. Fresh food, well prepared and presented. Very reasonably priced. Would recommend this hotel without any reservations. Great place to show young people that you... More

We stayed in a ground floor room in the main hotel, prior to a Star Party at the McDonald Observatory. Although the furnishings are old, the king bed was very comfortable, and the shower good. Because of a change in travel plans, we came back to Ft. Davis a week later and again stayed at the Hotel Limpia. This time... More

The heater was broken and the hotel did not inform us until the 2nd night when we inquired how to work the heat. They did not offer an extra blanket. It was in the low 40's at night so we were freezing. The linens are stained and cheap. The hotel is a beautiful historic hotel but the day to day... More

I apologize that you were not happy with your room. You were provided with a portable heater with adequate capacity to heat the room (in your room at the time of check in). Our staff should have informed you that the central heat was awaiting a part. There are extra blankets in every room of the hotel as well as... More

We stayed in Hotel Limpia recently and throughly enjoyed it. We spent the night in Room 20, beautifully furnished, very clean and comfortable, with wifi and TV. Had the weather been warm, we would have enjoyed sitting on the porch. Dinner in the Blue Mountain Bistro was enjoyable. The food was delicious and the staff was friendly and attentive. After... first time trip to Fort Davis and very happy we chose Hotel Limpia for our stay. Our room was nice and clean. Loved the charm of the hotel and restaurant next door. We didn't get a chance to eat there since we didn't have a reservation, so highly recommend making a reservation for dinner. The hotel kitty is quite sweet... More

We were on our way to Big Bend and wanted to stop after the long drive and see the McDonald observatory. This hotel was delightful--dated, but clean and comfy. The restaurant had delicious food. The drive to the observatory was a long winding road--about 20-25 minutes. We didn't spend any time in the town, but definitely some cute stores. The... More

Really...budget-conscious rooms? I don't think so. The Hotel Limpia is using their name and historic reputation to bait and switch people into a substandard annex for a pretty penny. I have stayed in Motel 6's as nice or nicer for a whole lot less money. We were at L-West over the new year, so that may be why the price... More

The Hotel Limpia is an older hotel in the area. The lower floor of the main hotel includes a sitting area with a fireplace, a sunroom, and an enclosed porch with multiple rocking chairs. When I first drove up I see this old rock building and I thought "what did I do?""
