The Hotel Brexton is definitely a boutique sort of place, small, tight lobby, crowded with furniture. I'd like to redecorate (would love to change the green walls and yellow trim...but that's just personal preference). My teenage sons did not mind the nude artwork displayed throughout the common areas (haha). Rooms are serviceable. Clean lines, simple furnishings. The continental breakfast in...

Good things first. The staff was very friendly and helpful and our room was clean. Not so great things... It was just me and my husband on this trip and I was glad because everywhere you went in the hotel was covered in graphic nude art. I was told by the staff that they were featuring a certain artist so,...

Hello and thank you for taking time to review Hotel Brexton and for choosing us during your recent visit to Mount Vernon Baltimore. We feature local art in our six hallways and spiral staircase, changing it every two months and introducing the new gallery with an Artist Reception open to the public. Typically each artist gets a hallway, but this...

I just returned to LA from my third stay at Hotel Brexton (I have a granddaughter at MICA). I recall vividly my first time at the Brexton. I'd arrived tired and worn and found the lobby crowded with happy people enjoying an art opening. When one of the staff gave me a glass of champagne I said, "Me, you did...

Hello and thank you so much for your lovely review of Hotel Brexton. If hotels had a site like TripAdvisor to rate their guests (and who says they don't - haha), you would be rated with five stars by us! I remember your first arrival the night of the art reception and would like to say that you absolutely WERE...

It's nicely restored. Then, there's the rest of the story. There is almost NOWHERE to park. The poor folks in front of me had made reservations and the hotel couldn't pull them up. They did find somewhere for them to go. Once I got to the room, I pulled the string for the blinds and they fell down. It was...

So I am less than delighted to say that you stayed with us the night a heavy metal band (Metalica) played at the Baltimore Arena (about 8 blocks from us) and stirred a very unusual set of circumstances in the middle of the night with a very spirited couple who stayed with us. I don't even know what to say...

Not wanting to stay at a boring, typical hotel when I needed to stay downtown for business - I chose Hotel Brexton, and I'm so glad I did! This outstanding hotel is a 6-story gem in a lovely and quiet area of Baltimore. With its historic nature and unique architecture, it's gorgeous from the inside out. The rooms are tastefully...

I have stayed at the Brexton twice now while attending seminars at the University of Baltimore. The rooms are lovely and the staff are very helpful. Self-serve breakfast is available in a bright, cheery room in the basement. The hotel is close to the University, Charles St. shops, and many restaurants. I am already looking forward to my next stay...

Great location, walking distance from Baltimore Penn Station and many; if not all, of Charles Street's eateries and other sights. Excellent, friendly and knowledgeable staff. A lovely continental breakfast is offered, and included in the price from 7:00 a.m. - 10:00 a.m. If you arrive around 3:00 p.m. You may be able to secure free parking front of the hotel....

First, the good: This is not a cookie cutter hotel. Read up on the history to fully appreciate it as it stands now. We got lucky and got one of the 6 free parking spots right out front... Hello and thank you for taking time to review Hotel Brexton and for choosing us during your recent visit to Mount Vernon Baltimore. We only spent one night at the Hotel Brexton but I highly recommend it. Everyone was very nice and helpful that was there. The breakfast was good. It was walking distance from the event we went to see which was very nice. I hope to go back and stay here again.
