The Lord Baltimore Hotel captivates many with its sophisticated charm and elegant decor, although a few guests mention the ambiance being marred by loud music and dimly lit areas. While opinions on value are divided, with some unexpected fees overshadowing the reasonable pricing for others, the cleanliness of the hotel consistently receives commendations. The grand lobby and diverse dining options, along with the prime location near downtown attractions, are popular among travelers. However, while the comfortable beds in the rooms are a highlight, some guests are put off by dated interiors and noise issues. Service is generally well-regarded, yet there are occasional reports of reservation mishaps and inconsistent customer care.

A feel of 1920s elegance, but modern & clean. Excellent valet & housekeeping. Quiet. Really friendly people at the front desk & bakery/bistro ( shout out to Blake!) My husband is a patient at Johns Hopkins- valets took their time to help us & inquire about how he was doing. The staff made a rough time smoother with their compassion & kindness. Excellent front desk manager efficiently addressed any minor problem. Highly recommend.

I had the pleasure of working a conference this weekend that was hosted at The Lord Baltimore and I came out with too many good things to say. The staff was amazing, friendly, accommodating and made all of us feel like we were at home. Having worked with many hotels I have never experienced a staff so willing to help us out and go above and beyond in every way possible. The rooms are spacious and clean with modern amenities, while the public areas are decorated beautifully and tastefully reflect the rich history of the property. The drinks and food at the bar will not disappoint and the LB Bakery is perfect for that morning coffee on the run. Again I can not recommend this hotel enough if you are staying in the Baltimore area.

Stayed here on a business trip. The Hotel has the standard notices about the towels and how you can save the world. However, not sure why the room service staff would take away partially used shampoo tubes and leave new tubes every day.... They don't seem to care if just a drop was used. The Hotel is too old and needs a total overhaul. Most furniture and fittings are worn out and needs replacement / repairs. The staff are helpful and internet works. The workout gym is a farce.

This is one of the WORST hotels I have ever been to. When I arrived to check in the hotel actually had 2 reservations under my name, even though I had cancelled one and then rebooked. When my husband and I got upstairs to the first room, it was very very tiny and dark, I had booked for a king deluxe room. I called down to the desk and I was told that I definitely was in a king deluxe room and when I mentioned that the room looked nothing like the pictures, the front desk staff member, Karan, I spoke with told me that pictures don't always represent what is in the room currently. I said that the room was not acceptable for what I was paying. Karan told me to bring my stuff back down and he would give me keys to a different room.
So we go back down, get the keys and then go back upstairs. The second room hadn't been cleaned yet. The bed still had used, dirty sheets on it, pistachio shells on the night stand, trash in the trash can and the bathroom had toilet paper on the floor. I call back down and was told to come back down again. So back down to the front desk we go. Karan gave me keys to the 3rd room, no apologies for putting us in a dirty room, just said that it was showing that it had been inspected. I showed him the pictures of the room I took, still no apology.
We go back upstairs Again and the 3rd room was just like the first, tiny and dark, definitely not what I was paying for. I called down and got Karan again. He told me that I definitely was in a king deluxe room and I would not be switched again. I requested to speak with the manager, I was told that he wasn't available. I have been in the hospitality industry for a long time, I know that they could definitely do something else for me. I than asked to speak with the General Manager, I was told that she was in a meeting and she doesn't handle this kind of stuff, the front desk supervisor would be in the morning and I could talk to him. I was very upset with the way I was treated. About an hour after I spoke with Karan, he called back and said that they would move me, so we gathered up our belongings and went back down to get the keys for yet another room.
When we got to the 4TH room the hallway smelled like marijuana, even though the entire hotel is non-smoking and paint. We unlocked the door and got everything in, I then noticed that my husband had black paint all over his hands. I had had enough moving so I just helped him get cleaned up and didn't call down.
Later in the evening I went to use the microwave on the 12th floor and there was trash all over the place and then the microwave didn't even work. I went down to the lobby and asked where to heat up my food and I was told that I would have to use a microwave on a different floor.
The next morning I stopped by the front desk to speak with the supervisor, I was told that I definitely was in a king deluxe room for the first and third rooms and I was now in a upgraded room. The front desk supervisor Anna took off my parking fee but I feel like there still so much more that should have been done for me and my husband.

Visited LBH in Feb as a part of a large group booking. I was very happy with the room, lounge/bar/restaurant, and in particular with the responsiveness of staff the entire weekend. We had a couple of housekeeping issues that were fixed immediately upon brining up with the staff, on what seemed like a super busy/crazy weekend at the hotel. I would absolutely stay here again and recommend this hotel to others looking for a hotel in the area.

Tl;dr - Avoid this place at all costs, and don't be fooled by the beautiful lobby. Our room was neither safe nor clean and when we asked to switch rooms, the concierge told us it was an us problem not a him problem, while staring down my girlfriend with a glassy stare indicating drug use. I'm not even mad about the experience anymore, just shocked that the hotel's standards are so low for both their rooms and their staff.

My girlfriend and I were looking for a place to stay in Baltimore as we were too tired to drive home to DC. We found the Lord Baltimore Hotel and thought it was nice enough after seeing some pictures, especially of the lobby which is stunning. We ended up

When we arrived the concierge I informed the concierge, whose name is Tico, that we had booked a room but there was an issue with the booking on my end. I rebooked right there in front of him and he told me to go wait while the booking went through and he would call me back when it came up on his system. I then waited in the lobby for about fifteen minutes before I finally was fed up waiting for him to call me back. He confirmed the booking had gone through with a lot of attitude. I don't care too much because my girlfriend and I were just happy to finally rest for the night.

When we got to our hotel room I went to wash my hands as I had been outside all day and used a towel (this would later prove disastrous). Upon closer inspection, the room was unsafe and disgusting. The fire detector looked to be covered up with some insulation or other foam like substance; i noticed the smell of smoke, the bathtub was peeling, and there were stains, and rust was visible. Neither my girlfriend nor I felt comfortable being in the room so we went down to the concierge desk to ask to switch rooms.

This is where our experience at the Lord Baltimore Hotel turned from bad to worse. Tico, the concierge, began questioning whether we had "disturbed" the room, completely avoiding the fact that the fire alarm was covered with an unknown substance and our other complaints. I told him I had washed my hands and used a towel and then with a snarky attitude said "so you have disturbed the room." I asked him what his point was and he started going on about how since we had disturbed the room it would require cleaning etc. again completely ignoring our complaints about safety. It's ironic really because the hotel clearly doesn't clean their rooms if our room was an indication of their standards. He kept telling us that the fire alarm issue was an us problem not a him problem.

Frustrated with his attitude, I told Tico if he won't switch our room, I'll just call my credit card company and dispute the charge. He then kept going on and on about how its not a him problem its an us problem while staring down my girlfriend. We ended up taking a video of the entire interaction and watching it back its clear he was on something with how glassy his eyes were.

The lobby and bar area are impressive. The problem, however, was with my room. I had absolutely no hot water. I was on the 12th floor, so I knew from prior stays at hotels on higher floors that it could take some time and so I ran the hot faucet in the tub as well as the sink. Neither one ever got above luke warm, or better described as not cold. Beyond that, the thermostat did not appear to work. The room was set at 72, which is fine but is far too cold for me. I turned the temperature to about 75 and the vent continued to blow cold air. I turned it off and back on then tried again to no avail. I was going out with friends, who had their own issues with their room, and so I thought maybe it needed time. I turned the temperature setting to 80 something but when I returned after several hours, the room was still cold. I notified the front desk the following morning at checkout and the nice lady apologized and said that she would have someone go look into it. I spent $180ish for this one night. At this cost, these problems are unacceptable. I will never stay at a non Hilton brand hotel again, much less this location, which is sad because it takes a LOT for me to dislike a place but I am just so disappointed.

The Lord Baltimore Hotel is a short walk to all of the stadiums, the Horseshoe Casino, the Inner Harbor, and across the street from the CFG Bank arena. They have clean rooms and valet parking made it convenient to get checked in, even at 10:30 at night. We also took advantage of the Le Bistro for breakfast and although the menu seemed a little pricey, the amount of food definitely was worth the price! It was delicious! I highly recommend this location.

We're in town for a family event at one of the universities. Our stay at the historical Lord Baltimore hotel helped make the trip an enjoyable memory. Gavino at the bar was very friendly and a great photographer, who offered to take our pictures at the beautiful lobby. Debbie Davis, in LB Bakery, always had a bright smile on her face greeting us and wanting to make sure our lunches were pefect. The cleaning crews were also very helpful and courteous!!
