As a meeting planner for our team I can tell you that this hotel is fabulous. They accommodated every last minute change we had without hesitation. The customer service was amazing. Even when we got there and realized what we had for a hospitality suite wouldnt work - joey quickly showed us what he thought would work and we had...

My husband & I've been married almost 24 years, traveling the entire time between his job & my military service. We've NEVER, neither in the U.S. or abroad, stayed somewhere that has as courteous, helpful & prompt employees as this hotel! From the moment we pulled in with the valet (busiest time, 5pm) to the front desk (particularly Alexander -...

Enjoyed a great breakfast this morning. Jamilla was our attentive server, joyful but not intrusive. Like most other staff we've encountered here, she made sure questions were answered and food was delivered hot and tasty.

This hotel is in a great location and that is valuable. However, I was disappointed upon check in, I stood there for a couple of minutes while the clerk was looking at something on their screen and did not acknowledge me standing there, once they did acknowledge me they told me to move to the other desk and someone would...

We stayed at the Hotel Indigo the weekend of May 13th. We (2 couples) stayed in the Guckenheimer Suite- which is the Presidential suite of the hotel. The room was great- spacious- and enough privacy of both couples. It was very difficult to find specific reviews of the suite- so here it goes: Walking in to the room, there is...

This hotel is in the perfect location, close to everything. The lobby and rooms are decorated beautifully and very clean. The problem is the noise. Because of the age of the building and the location, the noise at night it awful. we were woken many times by ambulances, cars and people yelling. The other downside is the valet parking. This...

Everything was perfect! Jasmine was GREAT at check in - she included a beverage voucher since it was my birthday and gave us a great room upon recommendation. The lobby and grounds were beautiful, everything about the hotel and the area was perfect. I could not ask for a better time. Breakfast was delicious and our server was personable and...

Right in the heart of Savannah's Historic District. Walking everywhere, must bring comfortable shoes. Persepolis for dinner. B. Matthews for breakfast and Zunzi's famous Chicken Conquistador that was featured as the #1 sandwich by Adam from Man vs Food! Yes I am a Foodie!

We are just in the process of checking-out of our two-night stay at Hotel Indigo. The hotel is in a great location in historic Savannah. We were greeted and assisted by an exceptional young man, Charles, who parked the car and helped with the luggage. The hotel lobby is modern and very nice. The hotel rooms are small but sufficient....

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Like our Spanish-moss-draped city herself, Hotel Indigo® Savannah Historic District is the perfect mix of old and new. Our building—known to locals as the "Grand Lady on the Bay" due to her sweeping size—was once 19th-century mega-merchant Simon Guckenheimer's dry goods storage house and shop, which was filled with everything the South made best, from tobacco to canned peaches. The 1940s and '50s brought a grocery store with the city's first true coffeehouse. Now, the Grand Lady stands as a charming boutique hotel with modern style in a vibrant Ellis Square setting that reflects the essence of Savannah's renowned historic district. After a delicious breakfast or cocktail at our lobby bar, immerse yourself in our neighborhood's rich culture at City Market, located right next door. Then embark on one of the many fascinating tours Savannah has to offer; at least five of the city's iconic squares are located within roughly five blocks of our front door. Learn about the city's storied past before making your way down original cobblestone paths to famous River Street, where you can watch ships enter and exit the harbor while savoring Southern comfort food in restaurants that were once historic warehouses. ... more   less
