The hotel is updated and extremely nice. The rooms were nice and the beds were even better! I walked past the front desk several times and each time I was greeted with a smile every time. Heather at the front desk was super helpful too!

Couldn't get into a B&B so we thought we'd spend the same and treat ourselves to some luxury. Thought we would be getting something FANTASTIC for $400 a night, but we were wrong. It's just your average hotel room with an attempt to look modern/sleek. (Think Ikea) Sure it's in the historic district but there are many other hotels just...

The staff was very accommodating. The concierge, Hal, was especially helpful in giving us information and choosing restaurants for us. He made the reservations for us and made everything so easy. I would definitely return to Hotel Indigo.

We enjoyed our one night at the Indigo. The staff was very helpful; the rooms are fine. And the location is wonderful. Being warned about the parking situation from TA reviews, we thought it was fine. They let a day-guest of ours park free and the valet crew handled a very tight/busy parking area quite efficiently. Concierge is very helpful....

First of all I would like to start off by saying I am a big fan of Indigo Hotels. This one has a great location right in downtown Savannah. The staff was nice and the room was even nicer. I only stayed one night but when I return to Savannah in the future I will be staying here.

Our room was clean, well equipped with comfortable bedding, and quality toiletries. There was some traffic noise since the room was on the street side on the 2nd flr. Aside from that our experience was very positive. Efficient booking and check-in and professional staff. Parking on site is costly, but other options are available nearby. The hotel decor is lovely...

Our stay was fine - the staff was lovely. The room was a bit cramped and didn't have space for a tiny fridge for leftovers.... The problem is that my friend and I left our jackets in the closet. We realized it 2 days later and called. They told us they found our jackets - hurray! It was my favorite...

Let me start by saying this hotel is apart of the Holiday Inn Express chains, which are great. To start this location is extremely pricey however the updates to this hotel and robes in the rooms I guess is where the money is at. I have to say we booked a "riverfront" view room for over $300 and we had...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Like our Spanish-moss-draped city herself, Hotel Indigo® Savannah Historic District is the perfect mix of old and new. Our building—known to locals as the "Grand Lady on the Bay" due to her sweeping size—was once 19th-century mega-merchant Simon Guckenheimer's dry goods storage house and shop, which was filled with everything the South made best, from tobacco to canned peaches. The 1940s and '50s brought a grocery store with the city's first true coffeehouse. Now, the Grand Lady stands as a charming boutique hotel with modern style in a vibrant Ellis Square setting that reflects the essence of Savannah's renowned historic district. After a delicious breakfast or cocktail at our lobby bar, immerse yourself in our neighborhood's rich culture at City Market, located right next door. Then embark on one of the many fascinating tours Savannah has to offer; at least five of the city's iconic squares are located within roughly five blocks of our front door. Learn about the city's storied past before making your way down original cobblestone paths to famous River Street, where you can watch ships enter and exit the harbor while savoring Southern comfort food in restaurants that were once historic warehouses. ... more   less
