Very nice hotel just outside of the downtown district. The staff here were awesome! Mkayla Spann was extremely accommodating, polite and helpful and made our stay excellent. There was a problem with the type of room we booked and they fixed the issue before we arrived so we had no idea or concern. Would stay there again when we have more time to spend to enjoy Savannah.

We were greeted by Mkayla S. as soon as we came in the door. Very clean and comfortable hotel. It’s close to shopping and food and not far from downtown. As far as parking goes there is a garage so we felt comfortable with the parking situation. We would definitely stay here again!

I read the reviews on tripadvisor in disbelief because we stayed here in 2019 & enjoyed our stay. We took a chance anyway and sadly, its all true. Check-in We arrived at the time we communicated we would be arriving via the BONVOY app. We reach the front desk and its a ghost town. There is no staff in the vicinity for roughly ten minutes. Finally 2 staff members come from around the corner. No one apologizes or even acknowledges we have been waiting here. We request traditional keys as the digital key we requested via the app never arrived. We were informed immediately that the digital keys are not reliable. After leaving the room once to go back to the car, the traditional keys did not work either. So we head back down to get them reprogrammed. The Room The Suite was roomy : a king bed with a sofa (pullout), a standard size closet, plenty of seating : a large storage cabinet and flat screen tv. For such a nice room, its a shame it was not properly cleaned: hair in the shower, hair in the bed with a mysterious stain at the bottom of the sheet. We go to set up the pullout and there is candy half eaten in the pull out bed. There are substances smeared on the lamps. No ice bucket nor coffee maker and of course the fridge is dorm sized. We call to request an ice bucket and staff inform us she will look for one and call us back. Hours go by and we finally receive a call back. Later we call for blankets sheets and pillows for the pull out and are informed that we can come to the front desk: we arrive to be told there are no pillows available. Breakfast I had decided after my encounters at check-in and requesting items that should be in the room already, that I would skip breakfast: My husband decided he would take a risk: There were some hot and cold items and all except the self-contained items (yogurt, muffins) looked questionable. But what was worse than the food was the unprofessionalism of the dining staff: they were making derogatory comments about guests and the amount of food they ate, the way the looked; and were real possessive about the items they were putting out as if the items belong to them. Attitudes were horrible. Pool: We skipped and spent our time outdoors at the beach: my concern was if you can not clean a hotel room you are not maintaining a clean pool. As we have a pool at our home, I know what it takes to keep it safe and clean.. I promise you, no one is putting in that type of work here. CHECKOUT: On our way to the garage we are confronted by housekeeping to ask if we were leaving yet: 1 &1/2 hours before checkout. Unbelievable and unacceptable!!!!!!! Nothing extra I can recall was being done for COVID-19. They could not even get the basics done. Needless to say we wont be back.

I have never experienced such a terribly managed hotel. Upon check-in, we noticed our bathroom had not been cleaned. As in other people’s hair all over the floor. We requested it to be cleaned. We were told all housekeeping was gone for the day and wouldn’t be available until the next day. We were disgusted, but stuck (Savannah was booked solid). The next morning we called down to the front desk to remind them we needed our bathroom cleaned. We were assured it would be while we were gone. We returned at 3:30 that afternoon to find the same dirty room we left. Not even our bed made. We called down to the front desk, and wouldn’t you know, the housekeeping staff was gone already. At this point I was livid. I requested clean sheets at least. I was told to COME DOWN AND GET THEM MYSELF. We were told they would comp our parking for the inconvenience. $12. That’s it. The next day they would ABSOLUTELY have our room cleaned. Needless to say, it was not. Finally we were moved to a larger, CLEAN room. So we got one nice stay after paying for three days. I have never, ever been so disappointed and disgusted. During a time such as a PANDEMIC, you’d think a hotel chain as well respected as the Marriott would clean their rooms in between guests and have a heightened and larger cleaning crew. I will never, ever visit this establishment again. This is the reason people are choosing AirBnBs over a traditional hotel experience!
