We spent 2 nights at the Ballastone Inn and found it a comfortable place to visit. The accommodations had a good mix of old character with modern conveniences. The public rooms were comfortable and allowed for a variety of settings. The breakfast was very tasty and served by friendly staff. The afternoon tea had a flavorful mix of snacks to...

We found Ballastone beyond our best expectations. The accommodations were lovely - great combination of character and history, and total comfort (unbelievably great mattresses and bedding, terrific scented soaps and creams, pure comfort!) The people were lovely, helpful, kind, funny and nice. We got help with packing our stuff (gift of packing materials), good advice, and more. Would love a...

I was completely impressed by this charming little B&B. It's setup like a really old home, with a variety of accomodations, from large suites to little bedrooms. All appear to have a bathroom too. This place has been fitted with all the modern conveniences, including elevator, fire escape stairs, modern plumbing, etc... The downstairs area features a large parlour, with...

My husband and I recently stayed at the Ballastone Inn for an anniversary/birthday celebration. We were impressed from the moment we arrived and met friendly and helpful Melissa. The room we stayed in, the Palmetto Fan, featured a King sized bed, comfortable sitting area, and a gas fireplace. The room is large but still cozy and very clean. The bathroom...

The Ballastone Inn exceeded my expectations, not an easy feat. The location is fabulous. You can park behind the inn and never use your car until you leave. Everything is within walking distance. The staff is friendly and accommodating. They do everything they can to help you have a wonderful visit. The rooms are comfortable and the amenities are first...

Excellent staff. Great location. We stayed for three nights in the Mulberry Tulips room, which was big, comfortable and well appointed. It is a grand old building. The breakfast was adequate but nothing special. We would stay here again.

If you really want to experience old southern hospitality, the Ballastone is the place to stay. This historic inn furnished with victorian antiques and decor gives you a glimpse of the romance of antebellum Savannah. A magical hotel in a magical city!

This was our second stay at the Ballastone, and it was even better than the first. We stayed in the Victoria Suite - expensive but worth it. Beautifully decorated, spacious, amazingly comfortable bed, and right next to the bar and lounge, which is both convenient but also quiet - they go to bed early here by European standards. The breakfast...

Great position I the city, fabulous ambience and decor, very helpful staff, comfortable beds, delicious breakfast, tea & hors d'heurves and a nice touch to be able to finish with a complimentary glass of port or sherry. Really enjoyed our 1 night stay, hope to be back for longer next time.

“The best rooms are to back. The front rooms are beautiful but a little noisy from Oglethorpe below. ”

“Pay the extra and get a larger room if you are going to stay several days. Rooms closest to Oglethorpe street will pick up road noise at night if you are a light sleeper. We would likely chose the China Trade room if we went again.”
