Highly recommend the Catherine Ward House. We stayed in the Captains room, which was very spacious and clean. The breakfasts were excellent and unique. We now know, that the next time we come to Savannah, to book our dinner reservations before we arrive. The popular restaurants, such as the Olde Pink House book up fast and both days we could not get reservations until 9 pm. Sonya and Leslie will be happy to make suggestions on where to eat and which tours are the best. We were right near Forsyth Park and walked to the waterfront.
We absolutely loved our stay! We hope to return again soon, this place is just lovely! Everything is in walking distance and the room was beautifully decorated and very clean. This is easily one of our favorite vacations yet. We give it Five stars!
Exceptionally handsome, sparkling public rooms and breakfast area. Experienced inn-keeper and staff were eager to share local info and suggestions for lunch/dinner eating and activities, including advice about how to best enjoy famed residential neighborhood. Half-block to Forsyth Park, a truly remarkable and large public park (nice tennis & basketball courts). Easy parking on the street or nearby private (free) lots. Rooms vary in size. Overall very clean and well maintained. Nice porch, sunny and bright even in basement rooms, which all have windows or exterior doors. Ample and varied breakfasts.
Fabulous Bed & Breakfast with well furnished rooms and everywhere spotless clean. The owners are very nice and give you lots of information about Savannah. Our room although a little small it was very cosy. The breakfast is excellent with fruit and a cooked breakfast and lots of fresh coffee. It’s situated next to Forsyth Park and about twenty minutes walk to the waterfront.
This is a beautiful, charming and well preserved old home, with lots of character. It's in a very convenient location, on the route of the DOT line, a free bus service to the downtown area. Hospitality and food were excellent and the service was helpful and friendly. Sonya and Lesley have a wealth of information about Savannah; things to do,; restaurants and other important information. We would highly recommend Catherine Ward House to anyone who wants to get a taste of authentic Savannah, in a a luxurious environment.
We stayed at the Catherine Ward House Inn for 3 nights while in Savannah visiting a granddaughter who is a SCAD student. Everything about the Inn was spectular from the house itself to our corner room to the delicious breakfasts we had each morning. Leslie and Sonia were exceptional hosts. We're already planning our next year visit.
We had a wonderful stay recently at the Catherine Ward House! We traveled from the bitter cold of Massachusetts to the warm sunshine of Savannah. Lesley, one of the owners, was welcoming, friendly, and always available when needed. The entire staff was lovely and helpful. The property is beautiful and clean with elegant, whimsical touches like chandeliers in bedrooms, stunning wallpapers, and murals in the kitchen and on the outer doors. There are plenty of comfortable places to hang out with family friends including the courtyard, porch, and living room/dining room areas. Breakfasts were delicious and a little different each day. Parking was easy. A short walk to Forsyth Park, restaurants, and sites! Would absoutely stay again.
What a wonderful experience. Greeted by Leslie who directed us to our rooms. Rooms were beautiful. Leslie was a wealth of information and her suggestions and recommendations were very helpful. The breakfasts were delicious! The location next to Forsyth Park was very convenient. Can't wait to go back again!
Absolutely amazing! First time at a BNB and this place exceeded all of my expectations! The women who run the place are very helpful with local eats and places to see and do. The breakfast, out of this world! Every morning served with fresh fruit and coffee and never disappointed. Room was extremely comfortable and spacious, we will definitely be back!
This was our second time staying at the Catherine Ward House in Savannah. A delightful experience just as we remembered. The Innkeeper, Leslie and her Concierge/Assistant, Sonya make this lovely inn the special place that it is. You can walk to Forsythe Park just up the street and other convenient shops and restaurants nearby. We stayed in the suite upstairs in the carriage house. Comfortable King bed, large bath and shower, small wet bar with fridge & microwave. Beautifully decorated and so private we felt like we were in our own little place. He main house is beautifully decorated and you feel welcome the minute you step inside. The breakfast every morning was a delish meal starting with fresh fruit served in a champagne coupe! On different days we had praline French toast, vegetable strata, cloud like biscuits, ham, sausage and the BEST coffee! Their restaurant recommendations were always spot on. We know where we will be staying on our next trip to Savannah. Thank you Leslie and Sonya for a truly enjoyable weekend…
