The room was very clean and spacious. The staff was very attentive especially Antonio the maintenance guy.He made sure everything was together. He checked on me continously also made sure the trash wasnt overflowing and the room temperature was comfortable. He even helped me after the fuction was over. Antonio was very helpful and displayed great customer service.

Spent the weekend here in January. This is our second stay here as we are frequent visitors to Savannah. Easy to walk to much of the historic district is a primary reason to stay. The room was a good size for two people with a sitting area. The shower and commode are in separate rooms with a sink in each. This is nice with two or more people in the room. There is an included breakfast with basic items but it was a feeding frenzy with all the people trying to get in a small area. As in most hotels in the historic district there is no self parking only valet. The cost is $29 a night and you can come and go as much as you want. There is a public garage a short walk away if you prefer. Rates vary by day of the week. Saturday and Sunday have a flat rate of $5 but no in/out. The rest of the week there are hourly rates with max daily charges of $13 ($17 on Friday). If you use valet be sure to check your room charges before checking out. We were charged double. The front desk fixed it but it took about 30 minutes. The other negative thing on this stay was 1 of 2 elevators were out of service so it was very slow and often full. Stairs are at the ends of the building and are fairly dingy. They’re OK but when you have bags you obviously want an elevator. There is a restaurant/bar in the building but it is not part of the hotel. Bottomline is this is a reasonable option downtown. There are others in this category so shop around for the best deal.

We stayed one night while traveling through Georgia on I-95, didn't want to stay along the highway, and figured we'd give the kids a little local culture.

The hotel is toward the edge of what you would consider the historic district. Not in the middle of the action, but a very short walk (just a block or two) to some great restaurants, shopping, culture and nightlife. It's also priced accordingly, ie good value for the area. Reasonably short walk to River St. if you don't mind traveling by foot.

There is a public parking garage barely one block away across the street from the Court House. We parked there and paid $4 overnight (in at 3 pm and out at 8 am).

The breakfast was typical for a free Marriott breakfast, which means perfectly adequate, and enjoyed by all.

The room was big enough for five of us, and we always appreciate the separate toilet room. We faced Oglethorpe, and it was a little noisy when loud vehicles passed.

Only downside is that the heated pool was not heated, at least while we were there. There is also a hot tub. Pool is on the second floor. Kids took a polar plunge anyways.

Savannah is the sweetest place to visit on the sweetest day of the year, February 14. We stayed three nights at our favorite venue in town because we have felt so pampered by the Springhill Suites. As always, the staff was gracious and professional. We had an issue with our television, but it was USER error...not Springhill Suites. Antonio kindly trained us on how to work the remote; thank you sir for being so patient. We look forward to our next visit.

I booked this hotel for the proximity to City Market. I work for a hospitality company and was able to book under Friends & Family. It was a small discount but appreciated. I have stayed in many Marriott properties and was shocked that this property was allowed to get in such a state. First the positives, it is very close to Market Street and makes everything walkable. I only took my car out once and that was to get to Bonaventure Cemetery. The bummer was that I paid for valet parking at $30/night and there was public parking right next door. My mistake. I found the employees, for the most part friendly and the beds comfortable and clean. According to the hotel, due to Covid they were not offering maid service and we were fine with that. However, on day two I requested clean towels 3 times and on the fourth time I went to the front desk at 11pm to literally beg for them. She was completely unconcerned. The hotel is dirty. One factor of booking there was the pool. According to the website heated pool. Well the hot tub was covered in nasty tarp and the pool was dirty and not heated. It was just where the smokers hung out. The free breakfast is not terrible but we only ate there the first morning. Better options in walking distance. They were charging over $500 for Saturday night and this hotel does not come close to deserving that. I found both the lady and gentleman at the concierge desk to be very friendly and helpful. The worst people in the hotel were at the front desk. I would not recommend this hotel as there are far better options just a block or two away.

From the front desk, room attendants, and maintenance all of the professionals at the hotel represent the Marriott brand well. One gentleman Antonio, worked with us to not only resolve an issue in our room, but explained what was happening and made us feel very comfortable that we weren’t complaining. He even fixed a phone for us. :)

The rooms are clean, the hotel lobby is beautiful as well, and even the hallways smell fresh. I’m a Marriott Titanium member and I know if I return it will be because of the professionalism shown by kind people like Antonio and the rest of the staff.

Had a good overnight stay from Sunday to Monday. Location is great for walking to stores and River Street. The room was spacious and clean. The bathroom (toilet and sink) is separate from the other bathroom (shower and sink) which I liked. The doors are sliding and the one on the toilet room was broken so it was extremely hard for us to close it. I stayed on an employee rate so for the price, no complaints. I don’t know if it’s worth full price.

Valet parking was $20. Breakfast Buffet isn’t happening yet due to Covid so they had breakfast bags with a muffin, banana, apple, and muffin.

Stayed here for 2 nights, nice hotel and close walking distance to Broughton. During our stay there was a significant increase of COVID cases. Be careful booking with this hotel because none of the staff was wearing masks and it was not enforced whatsoever with guests at the front desk or throughout the hotel. The hotel just had signs up throughout the hotel, but it was not strictly enforced. If you opt in for breakfast during your stay, you receive a bagged breakfast with a piece of fruit and muffin.

Dear Cosmo3120: Thank you for your review. Our hotel has many precautions and policies in place to minimize COVID 19 exposure. The bag breakfast that you are referring to is one of the policies that you do not seem to appreciate. Bags have muffins, in addition to granola bars and fresh fruit, which you also strategically omitted from your review. We also have 4 sanitizing stations in our lobby and restaurant, in addition to a sanitation stand at our valet stand. All Housekeeping, Valet staff, Maintenance, and Restaurant workers are required to wear mask, and have been doing so. If someone falls through the cracks, it is not due to hotel policy, as managment cannot be all places at all times. The front desk team is behind plexi glass and 6ft alert from each other, so to say their is no policy being enforced is objectively false. In fact many guest have personally thanked us for the policies in place at our hotel. Thank you for giving us the opportunity to highlight the many precautions we have in place for our guests and team members safety. warmest regards, Leonard Massey General Manager

Where to begin the superlatives. The location is within easy walking distance to many Savannah attractions. Restaurants and the Riverfront in one direction, and scenic parks and squares the other. All interactions with staff from front desk, concierge, and valet were friendly and helpful. The room itself was spacious, clean, and had all the necessary amenities. Complete separate rooms housed the toilet and shower, with each equipped with a mirror. The mirror in the shower appeared to be fog free as my hot shower did not leave a fog. Despite the Covid precautions, the complimentary breakfast was adequate and got the day off to a great beginning. Well done all.

Arrived on Wednesday, June 30th and checked out on July 5th.

Pros

Room has decent sized-space; I was in a suite which just means a small living area with couch and office desk

A relatively short walk to the Riverside area and the City Market where the main action takes place in downtown Savannah.

Staff were friendly and seemed to be working hard during the stay. Concierge on site is a nice touch for folks who want info and resources.

Cons

Bathroom is two rooms in that the commode/toilet with a small sink is in one room while the shower and main sink/vanity are in a separate room. Not that this is bad but it is an unusual concept. I suppose some people could see it as a pro because if one person is in the shower the other one can use the bathroom in the other room.

No water in exercise room from Wednesday to Sunday. Water tank not replaced/replenished for several days even after specifically mentioning it to front desk

Breakfast is ok at best...eggs too salty..,limited bagels, if any..the dining area is a bit cramped so at peak times you may have to retreat to your room to eat

Parking is tricky this is not fully the hotel issue. City of Savannah parking regulations are less than transparent and on street parking near hotel can be hard to get. Unfortunately it seems to make valet (at $30 per day) a viable option only to potentially avoid getting a parking ticket on the street. There is a city parking deck a short two block walk from the hotel but it was closed to the public on Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday. Only became available at 5 pm on Friday but had ample spaces for weekend parking. Weekend parking is usually $5 per day but the City doubled it to $10 per day due to the 4th of July weekend. Before you travel to Savannah, contact the City of Savannah for info on parking and plan your strategy

Summary: nice property but definitely search for other hotels with competitive rate and possible additional features
