Disappointed on our first stay at this hotel. This hotel is very beautiful and very unique. They have a rooftop bar with a beautiful view but a small selection of food and drinks. Everyone was very friendly and accommodating but had an issue late at night and had to switch rooms. Our first room was beautiful and we ended up getting locked out. The door lock battery died and after multiple attempts and about an hour of waiting, they ended up giving us a new room. We were down in Savannah for a girls overnight trip. I didn’t catch anyones names but the two front desk agents on 1/12/21 were very accommodating. However the night audit lady I dealt with that let me back into the room was very unaccomidating and very bothered by “our issue”. All that was done with a 30 room credit. On top of all of this, a few housekeeping ladies were in the hallway complaining about work very loudly and woke all of us up. It sounded like they were in our room!. Will probably stay there again and give it a second chance.

Great breakfast place. Service was a bit spotty for me. It wasn’t crowded and started off well but completely fell off. I was not in a hurry but waited close to 30 minutes just to get my bill while the waiter walked past me several times! The food was excellent.

Really enjoyed our stay,. Well located with easy walk to River walk area and lots of excellent restaurants - had great meals all 4 nights here. Yes, valet parking was expensive but the convenience was fantastic, never had to wait to get our car back using the option to text to retrieve it, which we did 3 times during our stay. Breakfast in Rhett was great. Claim your happy hour wine and cookies, and sit by the 2 gas firepits out the back of the Trade Winds bar. If your heart is set on the Rooftop bar, check for private bookings. The only evening warm enough for our stay was booked out for a private function. Staff were friendly. Room was quiet, although wood floor means that someone dropping something above you is very loud. A couple of niggles - the barn door on the bathroom takes effort to move, and for some reason the wine glasses inside the room were an issue, one night we only had one glass and another night the dirty glasses were not changed. Liked the room layout with the hidden closets behind the curtains either side of the windows.

This is a very nice hotel in a nice location and most all of the staff were friendly and helpful. The valets were quick and extremely personable. The two valets (Tavari & Andrew) always treated us very well and were very fast...great job! My husband and I were staying at the Alida on December 28 & 29. Both evenings we enjoyed drink at the Lost Square rooftop bar. It was very nice and the bartenders did a nice job. The bad experience came from the lobby bar (The Trade Room). The first evening we went and had a few drinks before and after dinner. The bartender was not able to answer many questions about drinks or whiskey (even though this is advertised as a whiskey bar). We asked him how long they are open (the posted hours say until 11PM). He said "usually 10 or 11PM, just depends on if there is anyone here". On the 2nd evening, we had drinks at the rooftop first because they close at 10PM, but we were then going to have a drink at the Trade Room but we jokingly said on the elevator that we hoped there were people still in the bar. Once we were off the elevator, we saw there were 10-12 people so we were happy. When we walked in the bar, we saw him handing two drinks to patrons, but as we went to order, he said "oh, we're closed". What?? It's was only 10:10PM and you have a group of people in the bar. Plus, you just handed out 2 drinks, you can't make 2 more? We weren't even asking to stay....we could've taken them to our room. Also, we had drinks and tipped him well the night before. We were frustrated and asked the front desk about it and all they said was "I guess he's closed." and when we mentioned the posted hours are until 11PM, the front desk had no answer. I understand it's hard to get too workers, but for a high quality hotel like the Alida, I would expect better service and his rudeness was uncalled for and disappointing. Being it was our last night at the Alida, it left a bad last impression. Also, on the first day we were at the Trade Room during their posted "Happy Hour" but when we asked him about the specials, he said there weren't any...??
