This is apparently one of the BEST hotels I’ve stayed in. Period. The room was really nice, and well kept. Each room has not only two water bottles ($5 each), but also a glass of wine! I also appreciate the quick service by engineering, room service, and even housekeeping! You also get a robe in each room as well. The only downfall was that the phone was not really working, the message waiting light was flashing but when I pressed message all I got was a fast busy signal. This is one area where the hotel could improve on. Other than that, this is a pretty good hotel in Savannah that is worth considering and trying for that matter! If I ever come back I’ll definitely be staying here again!!
From the moment we walked in the first time, every day of our stay, to the day we departed the staff was very friendly, helpful and attentive. Our room was comfortable, clean and well appointed. One knock, a room service tray sat on the floor in our hallway for two days without being taken away. The Kessler property earns our highest recommendation.
Stayed here in late October room 204. Nothing impressive about this place, it looks good until you look at their housekeeping. Upon opening the drapes to the river view, I removed my shoes and went to pick them up and found residue of someones puke in many areas of the carpet! I called the front desk, no apologies and they sent someone up with a rag and a bottle of cleaner. No apologies from them either. But the tip was appreciated. Went to remove the ice bucket to fill and found debris on the counter behind the bucket! And in the toilet area there was fuzzy behind the bowl and behind the glass door! The next morning went to breakfast at 8:30AM and came back at 3:30PM to find our room was never touched. The beds were not made the towels still on the floor and the trash cans still filled. I called the font desk and was told that we must have put the Do Not Disturb card on the door! We never had a tag so that was not possible. They sent someone up with a pile of towels, some plastics bags and left! And the tip again was appreciated! Since we were there only 2 nights I guess they thought why bother cleaning the room! The only one thing they have going for them is Cedric!!!!…
Clean hotel and uniquely decorated. Comfortable bed and large bathroom. As Platinum member we were upgraded to a lower floor corner room on a Monday night which was nice. But nothing exceptional overall. If we were staying in Savannah again we might try another property.
Halloween weekend visit.... Valet/check-in was smooth. All staff interactions were friendly and helpful. Location was great, room was perfect. Only complaint was the minifidge in the room. Its sooo small. Will 100% choose this hotel on my future visits to Savannah
The bar should deserve 0 star for their service how can you have waitress in the bar that didn’t even attend us with our drinks demand a tip after we were done paying she came outside the balcony and demanded a tip that she didn’t have the right for it. The only thing she deserve is the knowledge of hospitality. Thinking that this hotel is a franchise should be hiring the right people with the skills of hospitality. She need to go to some anger management issues classes. Yes we should have tip but still it not a thing to oblige we paid for our drinks. She didn’t even serve us. I wish I would have gotten the girl to be able to let the management know who exactly it is.
This property was mine and my wife's favorite property in Savannah for many years prior to other properties opening. We have recently been staying at the newer JW Marriott or the Perry Lane. I was traveling by myself for business and I wish I had stayed away. I have Ambassador status (above Titanium) with Marriott and I understand that if a property is fully booked, there is no upgrade available. I had booked a city view room. When checking in, I received a room on the 4th floor, which is the lobby. I essentially looked at cars parked in front of my window (see pictures). My room did not have a city view but a car view. We have stayed there often and this is one of the 4 worst rooms in the hotel. To be fair, George, one of the managers, offered compensation in the form of money, points or to change rooms but I declined since I was already settled in my room. I was not looking for something for free or a discount but for them to think about things in advance. He did have the cars moved out from in front of my window at my suggestion (hence the 2 star review instead of a one star). I arrived at about 6:00 PM and assume that must be the time management leaves because there was no one working the valet parking, Also, when checking out after texting the valet, it took 35 minutes to get my car since the valet said the texting did not work (would have been nice to have known that.). This is not a bad property, but with so many other really good properties in Savannah, there is just no point in paying to stay there. I would recommend the JW, the Perry Lane or the Mansion. We will be back in February and will be at the JW since I will not be back to this property. …
I was lucky enought to ask an employee about one of the displays and it was the Director of Entertainment, Daniel Eustice. His email was down so he had about 20 minutes to walk me through the collection. It was an awesome experience. Can't wait to go back and stay there and spend more time enjoying this beautiful hotel.
Hotel is nice but very small lobby, rooms are tight. Really enjoyed the small riverfront balcony, had a great view. Needs a few small outdoor chairs on balcony. Front door guy was awesome…so friendly and helpful. Decor was interesting and bathroom was very spacious. Beds were super comfy!
Great welcome to the facility by Cedric, who suggested a trip to the rooftop bar. Great end to a nice day in Savannah. Nice view, and able to find a spot in the sun to stay warm. Thank you Cedric!!!!!
