We stayed in room 101 on the first floor. I was so pleased we didn't have to walk up the stairs because my mom has a bad knee. We stayed one night. Loved. Loved it! The check in is pretty simple. The check in instructions are very well put together. We parked our car right outside the building on the street, it's 1$ per hour. The room, or more like apartment was magnificent! Wow! Loved everything about it. I booked this place away from the River Street because I want to walk everywhere and see more of Savannah than usuall River walk around. This place is so ideal and quiet. Felt like I was home. Thank you!

We cometo Savannah 8 times a year. My wife figured she would try this new place out. It’s terrible. Rooms are small. And toilet has no privacy. But that doesn’t really bother me. What bothers me after checkout I have to pee and they won’t let you. Can I use the employee restroom ? No. Then where can I pee? “That’s not our problem “. I just paid $340 a night for 3 nights. Complete BS. Don’t stay here. Plenty of other way better places to stay. Awful.

One bubble for comfort of bed, the other bubble for later checkout time than most motels. Interesting experience. Check in was a frustrating nightmare -- no service desk or way to reach help. We are elderly -- 70's nearing 80. Our room was located on 4th floor - no elevator, many stairs -- and multiple trips up/down trying to find help and carry our bags to our room. The video to use the room keypad did give clear instructions -- by luck we eventually were able to unlock the door (and didn't dare leave the room again for fear of same problem). We didn't find the infamous 'yellow gate' until the following day (and the designated welcome envelope on the line). We were 'on our own' and not comfortable trying to figure things out. Even the parking meter parking was 'new' to us. Oh, almost forgot -- the 'open concept' shower... for modest people, this was a surprise. the shower is large, clean -- but located without curtains or privacy in the same area as the bed. Ha ha.. I'll end with a positive. The decor was fascinating, hotel was relatively new and clean. Location was convenient for sightseeing in historic Savannah.

My husband and I recently stayed at The Present while visiting Savannah for the first time. It was also his birthday weekend. The entire experience was wonderful. There was a very easy check in process sent to us via email ahead of time, there was ample parking right around the hotel (only $1/hour 8am-8pm, so affordable), and it's at the perfect location to walk everywhere. We parked our car and didn't come back to it until we were ready to drive home at the end of the weekend. The hotel itself has so much character and was very quaint. Our room was beautiful with high ceilings, a crystal chandelier, an adorable balcony that overlooked the courtyard and a MASSIVE bathroom with two shower heads. The Present team emailed us a couple times while there, just to check in and ensure we were comfortable. Easy check-out as well. I will definitely recommend this hotel to everyone I know going to Savannah.

This is a charming and cute hotel, with NO SERVICE. Check in is supposed to occur via an email, the night before checkin, with your room number and an access code. We did it receive the email and didn’t realize we needed the email until we were trying to check in, after dark, in the pouring rain. There is no front desk or any staff on site to help you. There was a phone number on the reservation confirmation. We called it. Press 1 for general information- it’s a prerecorded message, no one to talk to. Press 2 for housekeeping - pressed 2 and the phone hangs up. Press 3 for maintenance- pressed 3 and the phone hangs up. Press 8 if it’s an emergency - pressed 8 and the phone hangs up. Good thing we didn’t have an emergency. We texted this useless number. About 20 minutes later, while we were frantically calling other hotels to find a room (in the pouring rain) we finally received a text with our room number and the code. During this time another couple arrived who had the exact same issue - so we know it wasn’t a one-time issue. Also worth noting. If you select room 100, which is the beautiful room pictured on their website, all the windows face into the hotel’s courtyard. So if you want privacy, you have to keep the curtains closed. Great if you are a vampire, but not if you like natural light. Would not recommend this hotel.

First I would like to say it is an absolutely beautiful place with amazing tree lined streets with the moss hanging from the trees. And the historical architecture is amazing!! The revitalization effort to restore River Street has been totally worth it!! We thoroughly enjoyed it all!! However on the negative side of Savanna we were and I cannot stress this enough DISGUSTED, OUTRAGED, and DEEPLY SADDENED for the poor horses pulling those carriages of all descriptions all day in that extreme heat on those paved roads. And when not pulling a fare, they stood in the heat on the pavement suffering with no shade and no water. We are sure they were watered at some point but this practice of using horses for transport although nostalgic is outdated and CRUEL this day in age when much more humane ways of travel exist. Horse drawn carriages should be OUTLAWED IMMEDIATELY!! And to make it worse these horses were pulling heavy carriages with heavy, yes I said it obese people in them. We chose to take the trolley around one day and walk another. And I was in great pain with a pinched nerve in my back and my friend had a sprained ankle so no excuse for others not to walk or take the trolley or rickshaw or bike or segway etc!!!! Also there were alot of homeless people out and some begging for money which is uncomfortable. On the whole it was a very nice trip when not seeing a poor horse go by. Also, an fyi there are constant sirens day and night in this city, mostly fire and ambulances. We loved the history and the beautiful squares.

No real amenities- at all. For the price we paid it was not worth it. Stay at a real hotel instead with someone who actually can answer questions, provide what you need, and respond immediately. Trendy, but that alone doesn’t cut it. Won’t be back. Our next trip we will be staying at a REAL hotel.

I was so impressed with this Hotel, from the instant communication from staff with all my questions to the centrally walkable location to the River front as well as Forsyth Park. The bed was so comfortable with soft plush linens and the towels were super thick. My favorite was the rainfall shower and the high quality soap, lotion, shampoo & conditioner. For sure I will be back since 3 nights was too short of a stay.

Easy check in and nice location in a quieter area of Savannah but very walkable and convenient to all things Savannah. We were concerned about parking but unloaded our gear right by the hotel and ended up finding a parking spot on the square. Easy check in and comfortable room. The bathroom pocket door had an issue which wasn’t great but knew it wouldn’t be fixed on a weekend for a one night stay - messaged the number for issues with the room. Also had nearly dead batteries on our tv remote but limped them along to get March madness games. For the price of the room we hoped we didn’t encounter these issues, but still feel it is a great place to stay
