We spent two nights here and enjoyed both. The check-in was easy and fast. We were on the ground floor in the Oglethorpe room. The room was large and had a good sized refrigerator and a coffeemaker with plenty of pods. The room was quiet even though we faced the street. The breakfast was wonderful (served at 9:15). The innkeepers are very friendly and helpful. The only problem might be parking as it is on the street. We did not have any issues (other than I am out of practice with parallel parking) with it.
WOW! I think that's the word to explain the best experience and first I had. We visited Savannah for the first time and we are so coming back. Story Time : My fiancee and I decided to take vacation from the 23-25 of December we have just been working way to hard and needed a nice romantic getaway for the holidays. We came upon this bed and breakfast searching hours and hours, decided to book and drive 6 hours. He got me some beautiful flowers and chocolate strawberries they were the best I tasted in a long time. We stayed in the room named Calhoun Square. Its cozy, clean and romantic, bathtub is amazing definitely needed it. The room had everything we needed it towels, mini fridge, cozy bed, and if you need anything you could always ask Breakfast: Breakfast is in the main house by the way there is two. We just went to the main one, everyone was friendly and warming, especially the owners. The food was delicious really different and home cooked. They even had a tea set up with cookies or brownies that you can grab during the day. Location: Everything is pretty close and walkable, we barely used the car. There are signs and certain days the city sweeps the street the owner will let you know. In general we will be coming back again Thanks for a lovely Christmas…
We have just had four lovely nights staying I. The Montgomery room. The room is lovely and spacious with a nice bathroom. The inn was everything I expected after reading all of the reviews but the location was better than I thought. I was lovely being in the area with the beautiful houses and I had several lovely walks. Very close to Forsyth park which is beautiful. It was easy to use Ubers to get to and from restaurants which were all a bit further away. Not far - a 20 minute walk probably but we were tired each evening so Uber was good and easy. I do recommend booking restaurants in advance if there are any you particularly want to go to as we found many to be booked out
We stayed three nights at the McMillan, and each one was as comfortable as can be. The first two nights were in the Carriage Home, and the second one was in the Calhoun Square. The Carriage Home was simply wonderful! The Calhoun Square, while smaller, was also very nice with a huge bathroom! The staff were simply amazing. Their desire to meet all our needs, fix wonderful breakfasts and help out any way they can. Josh, Cat, and Anna were the ones who we saw the most and we loved them all!
Excellent Service we loved from the beginning to the end. The hosts accommodated us in a pretty and comfortable rooms. They took care of us and we felt like we were on our homes. The breakfast?..oh lord! Superb, they know how to please customers. My only recommendation, just continue doing the same way, we loved!
My husband and I have spent Christmas in Savannah for the last three years and it’s now our tradition. McMillan Inn is also part of that tradition now. We had a wonderful time! The staff was amazing, the room was beautiful, the inn was cozy and quaint, and meeting the owners (as they were actually working) was the cherry on top. The food, DE-LICIOUS; and they were so accommodating to m husband’s dietary restrictions. Thanks Melissa & Eric!
This was my second visit for Christmas and I already plan to return next year. The rooms are super comfortable, the breakfast is delicious and options are available for all kind of food choices, coffee and tea are available all day with some kind of baked treat in the afternoon. Everything is super clean throughout the Inn. The staff is always helpful and friendly. A year ago I chose McMillan Inn because I really wanted a working fire place in my room. With the bitter cold this year it was perfect after being out. Another advantage is being in easy walking distance to Forsyth Park, about one mile from River Street and other places for shopping, eating, and sightseeing. I walked everywhere I wanted to go. The location is quiet in the evening so you can relax and sleep well.
My husband and I enjoyed our Savannah stay! The McMillan Inn was perfect. Our room was beautiful including numerous antiques, a fireplace to keep us cozy and a ball and claw tub in the bathroom. The breakfast was delicious! The Inn is a short walk to Forsyth Park and is in a very nice, but quiet neighborhood. The owners were super friendly and sweet. We highly recommend!
It was a most wonderful and magical experience! The Inn is so welcoming, beautiful and charming. The Christmas decor made it extra special. The hospitality was absolutely wonderful and the breakfast truly delectable. The family owners were very very kind. They make sure you feel welcomed. We stayed in a room called the Carriage House and loved it. Everything was clean, comfortable, and beautiful. We especially enjoyed the fireplace! We highly recommend the Mc Millan Inn. Our experience was excellent. Blessings!
The innkeepers of this very pleasant establishment are truly devoted to the comfort and enjoyment of their guests. They truly seem to enjoy their vocation and it shows in many ways which make for an enjoyable stay. This comfortable and clean location, with a fine breakfast, is a very good choice for those who appreciate the inn experience - an experience not for everyone of course, but one which can a new dimension to travel memories.
