This hotel is really a 4.5 but I couldn’t leave the half! Great hotel with excellent staff and comfortable rooms. The evening reception, which includes complimentary drinks, is very nice and the breakfast (included in rate) is awesome! Have stayed here several times and it’s always nice.

Hotel's Favourite
This Embassy Suites is located about a half mile from downtown on Oglethorpe Avenue. It is just west of a Hampton Inn that shares the same garage. Self-parking is $28 a day which is actually cheaper than the other hotels near the center. The walk into the central historic district is doable. This Embassy is extremely inviting to walk into. A large foyer greets you with friendly staff. If you are an Hilton Honors member, free bottles of water are given to you. We had a room on the second level. There are three elevators to choose from. Maybe not the quickest elevators, but it did get you where you wanted to go. Our room was a typical Embassy room with a large sitting area with a couch, a very large bathroom and a comfortable bed. There is also a microwave and a small convenient refrigerator. There were also two TVs in both rooms. Although, the controls were not the best to navigate. We can’t say there are any “best” views from this hotel. Our view was of a roof. There is a pool on premise and a fitness facility. We did not use either. One of the big advantages of staying at the Embassy Suites is the cooked eggs to order. The chef did a good job in making my eggs perfect, sunny-side-up. The only complaint is the selection of breads. The bagels are your typical Costco type. On our first day, the main toaster was broken. A small toaster was available with only two slots. The second breakfast the main toaster was back in operation. Unlike other Embassy Suites we visited on this trip, one selected a “number” for the table. A paper was filled out with your number on top. Your eggs were brought to you. We thought this was a great idea. We always enjoyed the free drinks given out for two hours near dinner. Although, we did find out that Tito’s was an extra $4 dollars. We later purchased our own Tito’s bottle and circumvented from going to their free drink promotion. During regular business hours there is a dedicated concierge. She was able to give us some good advice about the river boat. Being a Hilton, they do have discounted prices for most of the attractions. This is the person to see. Even with the walk, we enjoyed our stay at this Embassy Suites. In the summer, there is no walking in Savannah without sweating and being a bit hot and feeling the humidity. Nevertheless, Savannah is one of our favorite cities to visit and we appreciate this Embassy Suites.

The staff was SO friendly and accommodating. Everyone from check-in to the breakfast crew to the bartenders were hospitable and welcoming. The two bedroom suite was also wonderful. Plenty of room to spread out and everyone loved having their own room to sleep in. I can’t recommend this hotel enough for downtown Savannah stays!

We had such a good experience at this hotel. Breakfast was delicious and we had the friendliest staff especially Blue! So sweet to our girls! Charming stay and great staff. Having complimentary cocktails by the fireplace was such a hit before heading out to dinner. We visited in January and it was in the 30’s… so chilly out but the hotel was so warm and cozy!

my colleague and I checked in to this hotel after booking two rooms on Booking.com to be told we only booked one room and would have to share and that the sofa in the room folded down to become a bed, not happy but it was only one night. The room was adequate but when we folded the sofa out there was no bedding. I returned to reception as the phone repeatedly rang out, I told the receptionist about the lack of bedding who replied, with a puzzled look on her face, do you really need bedding? I decide another room was the way to go. The room I was given had not been cleaned properly but I was tired and just couldn’t be bothered facing that receptionist. Felt ripped off and will never visit this place again, Hilton by name alone. The photos are of the air vent right beside the headboard of the bed and bedside lamp. Extra cleaning due to covid Himmmmmmmmm
