We stayed at The Mansion at Forsyth park. Storie was best valet I’ve had, hustled helped us with our copious amount of luggage and helped pack up our small car. She was an absolute gem. Had a wonderful stay and experience. We will be revisiting
The hotel was amazing, close to everything with many historical monuments. Car service was excellent, our valet Jaydn did a great job bringing our car fast and in a careful way! Best part of the trip for sure. The service is amazing won’t regret it.
I attended a training conference and stayed at the Mansion solo in the room for two nights Nov22. The cost to stay was outrageous. I budgeted for federal per diem rate, but the extra fees and taxes, and holds on my debit card were awful. Two nights $130 x 2 = $260 plus taxes. Add in “resort” fees total became $389. Then a $100 per night “hold” and before I knew it $589 was debited out of my available balance. On top of the food expense at 700 Drayton Restaurant was $27 for breakfast! $7 orange juice! No good restaurants near enough to run to. Two small water bottles were in my room, small cup cheap champagne in evening, and usual toiletries—nothing worth the added expense. Dusty nightstand, cheap not working alarm clock, and in room phone was dead. Used my cell phone as my alarm clock. $35 taxi ride from SAV airport to the Mansion. If I had my car, parking fees would’ve applied as well. Cost for a two night business trip was too high. Spent the trip worried about cash. The additional $200 was “held” until after I returned home! Not a nice vibe upon check-in to see that much debited out. Beware!!…
Valet. We fell in love with Storie the moment we arrived. She has a servant’s heart and is the sweetest thing on earth. Her smile is sunshine on a rainy day. The Mansion is lucky to have her and should mentor her into management. She exemplifies “service with a smile” in an industry that is tough to find this caliber of employee. Drivers each night were fantastic… Anthony, Eric, and Ron were prompt, friendly and informative of the area. Hotel and decor were stunning. Didn’t really care for the art, but that is a personal taste. Location is spectacular. Rooms were beautiful, comfortable, but overpriced. Parking and resort fee too high. Coffee Bar - for morning coffee enthusiasts, the coffee bar was very poorly maintained. Every day was something different …. Out of coffee often, no cups, no lids, out of cream, etc, etc. Bar ambiance was great, service was wonderful, but who closes a packed bar on Saturday at 10:30??? Should definitely stay open later. Charcuterie board was disappointing for $26… too much meat, cheeses were old, not enough crackers and should have included some fruit. Need a better balance of items. Would definitely stay again. Morning walks in the park were our favorite part.…
Definitely recommend. Staff was warm and friendly. We arrived at champagne hour and walked around the hotel to look at all the artwork. Lots of great pieces. The room was cozy with a large tub that felt wonderful after walking all over downtown. The location was good. Lots of construction around the hotel itself and little to no parking unless you want to pay for valet service. We enjoyed our stay.
Storie was a smiling and cheerful greeting when we finished our long journey. Her energy with the unloading of our luggage and dogs from the vehicle was met with a lovely attitude. Storie efficiently loaded each vehicle with the same smiles and attention. Storie was the highlight of our trip.
I don’t understand the negative reviews of this place, we had a lovely stay. The staff was amazing, attentive, and so helpful. They even gave us a fan for our room for white noise. Everything was very clean and housekeeping came every day. The only bummer was that my spa tub didn’t seem to hold water but everything else was perfect. Would be cool if they had streaming services on the TVs but we really weren’t there to watch TV anyway. The bar downstairs is very nice and has wonderful drinks and snacks. Valet service was great, especially Storie, she made us feel so welcome. Location is perfect. I would go back anytime.
Beautiful hotel with top notch service. Storie was such a joy and took great care of us from the second we stepped out of our car! We took an exceptional cooking class with Chef Jason that we highly recommend. Overall, it was a fantastic stay.
We enjoyed our stay... great staff, very comfortable bed. The valet service was excellent, convenient & secure. Storie was lovely ❤️ - a wonderful valet, always very energetic & helpful our car & with our many bags.
Great property offering a luxury experience. Made for a great little walking vacation in Savannah. Adjacent 700 Drayton restaurant is underrated I think. Staff is very kind and smiling. When you go, you’ll be enthusiastically greeted by Storie. Tell her Edgar says hello.
