A wonderful HIE property. I was in Savannah for business for week. This is a great hotel for a multi night stay.

It’s close to both business locations as well as restaurants and attractions.

The staff were nice. I, especially, appreciate the staff who worked the valet parking.

My room had a brilliant view of the River.

Go enjoy

Stay with confidence

This Holiday Inn Express was located in a great location to everything we wanted to see and do while visiting Savannah for three days. Rooms were clean and spacious, customer service was good and the breakfast had items for everything. Fred was courteous and very helpful in making sure the breakfast area was clean and stocked each morning. This hotel provides valet parking at $30 per day (included in the rate) and there seemed to be confusion at times with getting folks in/out of the valet area. We were located on the 4th floor and the room faced the front of the hotel, the street noise didn't bother us at all. Beds were comfy and my son enjoyed the desk area to play games and snack. The rooftop outdoor pool looked nice-- it was raining and a bit chilly when we visited so we did not get a chance to experience it. There was also a weight room that looked descent. Trying to get the tv turned to specific tv stations was a bit confusing but we managed. All in all, we'd have no problem staying here again in the future for a good rate.

I got three rooms for family and friends to attend the St Pats festivities in Savannah. Unfortunately the Coronavirus scare shut down most of the organized events. But we still made the most of it and enjoyed ourselves downtown.
One thing that made an impression was the hotel’s efforts to keep things clean. At breakfast Fred was hustling and wiping down tables and seating areas between diners. And Anthony was scrubbing the elevator walls and individual floor buttons in detail with sanitizer. Small things that matter- thank you! Our family will be back.

We returned to Savannah and this property after last visiting two years ago. We selected it for several reasons but primarily for its ideal central location in the Historic District. The Front Deck Staff displayed personalized friendliness throughout our visit. I only wish we were able to capture all of their names. The Concierge Staff with Teresa answered all of our questions and arranged our outings and shuttle rides. Walter offered suggestions on our next visit as we were departing. They are an asset and we highly recommend their services. Winston (I believe his name) offers friendly and helpful security.

Check in was swift and accurate. The parking situation was explained as Valet Parking is not available any longer being another COVID casualty. You can get a hotel parking pass for the Bryan Parking Garage next door ($20/day) or self park at Savannah City Parking rates.

Since our last visit the rooms have been refurbished to a clean, sleek, modern look. Each room tagged as sanitized on initial opening. Very appealing. Comfortable bed with pillows so nice we are looking into purchasing some! Bathroom was clean and plenty of hot water in the shower and sink. While daily housekeeping is suspended, the housekeeping staff kept us fresh with clean towels each morning as they made their rounds.

The morning breakfast meets COVID precaution standards with all items being packaged and the stations socially distanced. Hot coffee looks to be available all day. The staff there keeps the stations both stocked and cleaned. While the items are obviously not gourmet quality they offer welcome sustenance before heading out in the morning.

As mentioned, the hotel is ideally situated in the Historic District. One block to the river and its shops and attractions and only several blocks to many of Savannah's fine dining and venues.

Overall, a wonderful visit and we look forward to returning soon.

It goes without saying that masks are required in all common areas and hand sanitizing stations are available throughout the property.

We stayed two nights at this hotel last week and were very glad to have chosen Holiday Inn Express Historic District. The cleanliness, comfort, location, and above all the Staff were just excellent. We would like to compliment the manager of this place for making such a great selection of employment: everyone at the front desk, all housekeeping attendants, valet parking personnel, and last but not least, all the super great breakfast room employees, especially the tall young gentleman who makes sure that everybody is well taken care of and goes table by table asking each person if everything is fine or they need anything else, how extremely courteous and pleasant!!!! Thanks!!!!

My husband and I love the location of this hotel. Within walking distance to several of the main attractions of downtown Savannah and just a few minutes walk to River Street-but without all the noise pouring into the hotel room. Valet services are not currently available, however a large parking garage is located right next door which is very convenient. Staff is always friendly and helpful. One elevator was down during our stay which made for long wait lines at times when we didn’t want to hike the stairs to our 5th floor room. Staff were frequently witnessed cleaning and sanitizing surfaces. Great value for the price and location!

We were in town for a family visit and stayed at this IHG Property. Beautiful hotel, downtown, within walking distance from everything.
We were greeted by Julian and Nakashimi upon our arrival. They were delightful.

Due to a prior booking, we were going to have to change rooms on our fourth day, and we knew this. Nakashimi worked her magic and rearranged bookings enabling us to remain in the same room. She is a total ROCKSTAR!

I cannot say enough about the accommodations, efficiency and friendliness of the entire staff.

Of note, the entire staff is working to keep their guests safe during this trying time. All staff wear gloves and masks. Our towel refreshes arrived in sanitized vinyl containers. The common areas are sanitized continually.
The hotel is doing everything possible to protect staff and guests.

This is THE place to stay when visiting Savannah.

Great for real GREAT location. Just steps from all the best spots and restaurants. Easy parking, only $20 and they keep the hotel very clean. When we first got there we were greeted by a security guard, a super nice gentleman that explained everything and helped with the whole parking situation. Unfortunately, I didn’t get his name, but he was working at the door on 11/25 around 11 am, very nice and helpful. They keep the rooms very clean, no complaints with that, there were several sanitizing stations throughout the hotel and masks are mandatory, making us feel very safe. Breakfast was really tasty, fresh and everything prepackaged. I highly recommend this hotel and will visit again without a doubt.

Stayed here 6/16 to 6/19 on short trip to Savannah with the Mrs. Staff was friendly and helpful, especially the concierge. Not 5-star lodging with an abundance of bells and whistles, but a solid place to stay, in a great location, at a fair price, for someone visiting Savannah. Regular cleaning was done, hand sanitizer was available throughout, the breakfast was just grab-and-go stuff which is understandable given the circumstances. Enjoyed it.

Just spent 2 nights at this hotel. This has to be to nicest Holiday Inn Express ever. This was my second stay at this hotel in 3 months, loved it. First the location is excellent. Right on Bay street with 8 floors and a roof top pool. Both times I had a high floor with river views. Being on Bay Street the river is a block away and very easy access to the riverfront restaurants and shops. For us people who don't live near the ocean it's great to see a ocean going freighter go past your room. Everything is a walking distance in the historic distance. Now the room. Loved it, both time we have had a corner room. Very nice, updated, great bed, large walk in shower, fridge and micro. Very clean, there is even a tape on the door lock verifying that the room was deep cleaned before we checked in. Due to the covid thing, room cleaning for multiple day stays is by request. The breakfast room only has grab and go items and their small bar is closed. Also the valet parking service is suspended so now it's self parking in the garage next door. I saw staff walking around cleaning surfaces. The pool area was real clean and towels provided. Overall, can't say enough good things about this hotel. I'm not sure why it's a Holiday Inn Express because it should be higher on the food chain.

Including the ground floor, I’d say seven or eight. My room could see over the park and shops along the waterfront for a 180 degree view of the Savannah River. Fascinating view of the all the ships and boats, many on their way to the Atlantic Ocean via the estuary known as “Tybee Roads.”
