Pros: The location could not be better and there were huge, delicious apples at reception, and free wine in the evening with a piano player. The rooms were spacious. Cons: It seems that most of the bedrooms face onto a multi-story carpark –directly across the street. The rooms had many windows but the blinds needed to be drawn as the... More

A dear friend of mine recommended Planters Inn for my overnight stay while passing through Savannah. She said, "Treat yourself to a nice place." I'm so glad I did. I easily booked online. Shortly after my late afternoon arrival I was welcomed to a wine and cheese party in the beautiful lobby. It was very relaxing with lovely, live piano... More

We spent just one night at the Planters Inn. The staff were friendly and were very helpful. The room was small but well appointed. The Inn is on Reynolds Square and is close to everything. We would stay here again on our next trip to Savannah.

A friend and I spent five great days exploring Savannah. Planter's Inn was a perfect place to stay.....with consistently friendly, warm and helpful staff who suggested things to do and see in Savannah. Karen (thank you, Karen) remembered our names, served us wine every evening, called for reservations at a lovely near-by restaurant, and made us feel welcome. Our room... More

We visited Savannah last year and stayed at the Planters Inn. We were thrilled with the warmth and welcoming of the employees. The rooms were fabulous with was an added bonus. We were upgraded before we even arrived with notifications via email when our rooms were ready. We just returned from Savannah and the Planters Inn. Still a lovely hotel... More

Loved the look and laid back feeling of this place, rooms were small as expected from a 1913 building, but furnishings and amenities were great and beds super comfortable, plus great location on a historic square

It is located on Abercorn St. facing Reynolds Square and only a few blocks from River St. We were in Savannah to celebrate my daughter's 21st birthday, and they so graciously left a bottle of champagne in our room. They offer wine and cheese in the afternoon but I can't remark on that because we had other plans. We had... More

Stayed here for 1 night on Veterans Day. I have been in the hospitality industry for over 15 years as a General Manager and Director of Sales and this place needs some work. The city was pretty much sold out so we paid $310 for 1 night which was not even worth it. I asked for an extra pillow cause... More

Phil- We certainly appreciate your comments, especially coming from a veteran of the industry. Yes, this holiday weekend WAS quite busy and rooms were scarce (reservations are always recommended). I appreciate your photographs and certainly want you to know that all these issues are known to us. With all the new product on the market, we realize the need to... More

We stayed at Planter's Inn for the Rock N Roll marathon. Nothing beats walking out the door just 5 min. before the start and walking just a block to the starting line! Perfect location for restaurants, River Street, sightseeing, etc. Room had 2 queen beds, large bathroom, and appreciated the tub for an after-run soak. Clean, roomy, friendly staff and... More

This hotel is in a great location. It is a historical Inn. Small and friendly. Staff is extremely nice and helpful. They surprised me with a bottle of champagne in my room for my birthday! Valet parking is $20. Once you park the car you probably do not need to drive anywhere. Free Wi Fi, very comfortable bed, and a... More

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
To sleep in the epicenter of the city's beautiful historic district, book some time here, on Reynolds Square. The Planters Inn offers elegant rooms, great service, and a jovial wine and cheese reception where people linger each afternoon. For a view, ask about one of the rooms overlooking Reynolds Square Park. Better yet, step outside the inn and get lost among the azaleas and architecture. Just make it back for your dose of wine and cheese. ... more   less
