I consider myself a well traveled senior. I want to share what a truly EXCEPTIONAL experience my friend and I had at the River Street Inn. We were there for 6 nights in order to really experience the city. I had made a mistake in original booking, long story. A wonderful young woman at this property, Semetria deserves a raise whatever she's making! She totally made our stay and the pre booking issues all perfect by going the extra mile!!! Not only did she tear up with appreciation when I thanked her in person, she went out of her way to be genuinely kind and her attention to detail was very heartwarming. The care of the staff was soooo amazing as well. Just always respectful, speaking to you, being certain you are happy with everything and so willing to share what they know and love about their city at the front desk. Bradley was another frt desk person that was outstanding in recommendations and helpful ideas. This trip was so memorable and great vibes thru out the city....but the River Inn was a very special location and their management needs to know what an OUTSTANDING job they do at this property. I worked with the public for 40yrs. I understand how a job can become Ho-hum.....! At the River Street Inn, Savaanah.....Nothing like that happened once! I highly recommend this property for the FINE staff, Semetria, and the location is PERFECTION! Submitted by: Madelyn Reynolds....Long Beach, California…
I love this Inn!!! This inn is located in a relatively safe area (don’t walk too far away because it gets kinda sketchy the farther you get from the river front). The Building is just beautiful. The architecture is unique! I really loved the little alcoves they created by the elevator, overlooking the ocean. My bedroom was clean and spacious, complete with basic amenities (soap, towels, hairdryers). I loved the faux balconies. I just wish I could actually go into the balcony attached to my room, rather than have a fake door. The parking was valet parking only (and a bit pricey) but I parked across the street in the public parking garage (Brian Garage), so it was cheaper, and it only took 2 min to walk to reception from the garage. Location was riverfront with access to the river, so I really enjoyed the view from the hotel. The highlight of my stay was the Manager’s Reception (5 pm to 7 pm) which comes with free cocktails and appetizers. My husband and and I really loved our bartender, MJ! She made the best cocktails (and she was generous with the alcohol), and she was so awesome with the guests that came by! I think it’s safe to say, we all loved MJ! It was really great to meet other guests and make new friends. My favorite cocktail was the Rum punch (it literally packs a punch!!!). Overall, I really recommend this Inn if you are visiting Savannah, Georgia!…
For my first trip to Savannah this was the absolute perfect place to stay. Location, staff, ambiance and decor were perfect! Staying in a converted cotton warehouse on the river… what a joy. The views and location, not to mention being right in the middle of the shops on River Street. We were walking distance to everything, including houses, churches, cemeteries and city markets. I plan to return with my daughter next year and am already looking forward to staying there so she can experience it.
The Inn is beautiful on the inside. The rooms are spacious and beds very comfortable. The front desk clerk Wally was very personable and helpful. Wally was a 10. Rick the Valet was very personable and helpful. Rick was a 10. They both went above and beyond. We ate at Hueys for breakfast it was delicious. The happy hour was very nice Val was a wonderful hostess and very personable. Val gets a 10 also.
We spent three nights at the River Street Inn. The inn is elegant and the staff was very friendly and helpful. Of particular note was Brice who greeted us, helped us with car parking, provided advice on dining options, and helped us with our luggage.
Beautiful hotel! Our room was wonderful - well decorated and very comfortable. Great location - right on the river and in walking distance to all the great sights. Brice was so helpful in finding us the best parking deal and giving tips on restaurants. Everyone has been very nice. We would definitely come here again.
Haven’t gotten to enjoy all the hotel has to offer yet but super excited to be here. Brice with the valet was attentive at our arrival and made sure we knew what to do with our car as well as some of the best places to eat. He is perhaps the highlight of the stay! What an asset to a hotel a friendly helpful face greeting you is. Thanks a bunch Brice!
I was greeted outside by Brice, and he was so incredibly helpful! This has been my first time to visit Savannah, and Brice gave it a WONDERFUL first impression. The hotel is awesome too! I hear it’s over 200 years old; how about that??
Unique historic hotel with all the modern amenities in the heart of Savannah. Hotel had lovely Christmas decor and large rooms with views of the river. Great location with lots of shopping and restaurants steps away. Shout out to the valet guys Brice and Sam! Very Helpful.
Brice was the best. As soon as we pulled up, he gave us restaurant recommendations how to get around the city and helped us out with our hotel check-in. If you’re ever in need of assistance with navigating or city recommendations. Definitely talk to Brice.
