Glad I read reviews so we knew to enter from Bay St - although it was still difficult to find in the dark! There was a nice young man ready to help us unload the car and take things to our room. We didn't realize we would have to pay $15/night for parking. There seem to be other cheaper options,...

The view was fantastic, although the balcony was very small. The room itself was small. There was no refrigerator and not enough room to even have the coffee pot on a table. The milk for the coffee was curdled. Service was good - when I called for an extra blanket and pillow they arrived within ten minutes. The book they...

It's a shame when a hotel owner allows their staff to become complacent and rest on its laurels because they have a good location. The rooms are very tired; the upholstery is dirty and the towels, linen are old. Carpets are well worn. Sink was plugged. Staff were not friendly and we over paid for what we got. Would not...

Mr. Marcum, I am so sorry for the experience you had at the Inn. We are currently working with ownership to address the issues you brought up and hope to have a freshened hotel for our guests in the very near future.

Great location for this potentially high end hotel. There were so many issues with it when we last visited it. The heat and air conditioning did not function, our room was missing a remote for the tv, a hair dryer, and even though the website says there are make-up mirrors in the rooms there are none available. Our coffee tray...

My family stayed here along with two other families. We booked a river view room, and our favorite memory had to do with the ghost tours. We discovered that our balcony was along their route, so we came up with the idea to participate in the action! Simply took sheets off the bed and wore them like a ghost. Slowly...

This was our first trip to Savannah. The River Street Inn was charming. The staff was friendly and helpful. We were in a perfect location for site-seeing, shopping and food. No need to use our car. Our room was spacious, clean and quiet. The nightly wine and cheese reception was enjoyable. We highly recommend this hotel and encourage guests to...

As we were driving north on I95 toward the River Street Inn for check in, I was reading the reviews from the previous 2 days and began to panic. However, when we checked in, we were allowed to look at 2 different rooms as my allergies were acting up. We chose the room with hardwood floors instead of carpet and...

I'm not sure if it's the fact that you can actually lie in bed and watch the big, and I do mean big, container ships go down the Savannah river or watch the many people stroll on the River front, all this from a beautiful room right out of the 1800's. Everything is clean and neat. They have a lovely...

Great location and good value for the money. I have stayed here before and at that time service, such as housekeeping, was great. This trip was not as satisfactory. Creamer in the room curdled when I placed it in the coffee, I notified the front desk who stated they would let housekeeping know. The same morning it was the same...

This was our second time back in under a year and we would definitely do a third! This is a georgeous historic inn with beautiful, clean rooms with many amenities. You can't beat the location as it's right on the river in Savannah's historic district. Staying here puts you steps from the river, great dining, boutiques, antique shops, candy shops,...
