What a refreshing stay! Out of all the Marriotts I've stayed, this one has to be top three. Friendliest staff I've encountered in years. From housekeeping, front desk and restaurant/bar staff, each and every one made me feel welcome and I swear they always had a smile. Great location. If I had to critique one thing, I'd say the walls are pretty thin and lend to diminished privacy, but I'd certainly stay here again!!
We visited Fredericksburg for one night and wanted to experience the history in the beautiful downtown area. We enjoyed our stay. Loved the valet parking and found it very reasonable $12. Hotel was well maintained, room was nicely appointed and very clean. Hotel is situated in the epicenter of the downtown. Several museums. Dining and shopping options minutes from the hotel. Nicely done Marriott!
Am I glad we decided to break our trip here than at the hotels near rt95! We were able to take a nice walk to a local restaurant for dinner and walk around town and along the river abit to get some exercise. Much more pleasant than the commercial Areas along the highway. The hotel looked new-at least the furnishings. Our exec king room had a comfy two person couch with hassock plus another chair. What I loved was all the lighting and places to plug in electronics. Plus the streaming televisions. Very bright bathroom with plenty of room at the sink. Also lots of room for clothing, unlike so many hotels these days. Bed was comfy and the curtains did an excellent job keeping the room dark. We didn’t eat here but the bistro had some offerings and they lobby looked pleasant. The only thing I wish we had known was to come up Charlotte street, not Caroline. The hotel address is Caroline, but check in is on Charlotte. We opted for valet but you could also self park at a garage that is a block or so away.…
One of the best Courtyards I've stayed in . The staff is extremely pleasant and the location and atmosphere is excellent. Valet park was quick in and out of the hotel. Bar & restaurant area attractive . Highly recommend.
This hotel was conveniently close to everything in the historic district. It was so nice to be able to just pop back to the hotel midday for a short rest between all the walking and shopping and dining we enjoyed. Any other hotel would have been too far to allow our frequent comings and goings. The parking is $12 a day whether you self park or valet park so we just valet parked whenever we did use the car. Getting the car back from valet was very easy, very short wait times. The area was pretty quiet. We stayed for a Friday & Saturday night and heard nothing louder than the other guests passing by our door. The pool and hot tub were relaxing. However, they lost a star bc the bed was just so uncomfortable. When traveling we often stay at a Marriott without issue but the mattress here was just wreaking havoc on my back. Mattress aside, we would stay again if returning to the area bc the convenience of location really made the weekend great.…
