I couldn’t sleep well because the Baseboard heating was very loud, also the bed was very Hard. Front desk workers are not very friendly. The entire place needs to be updated. The only thing I liked was that the rooms are clean and don’t smell bad.
Staff was super friendly, room was a little dated but clean and spacious. Price was great. Had a great restaurant for breakfast just down the hall. Offered airport pickup and train shuttles! Would definitely stay here again.
Absolutely!! I would like to recommend Sophia for everyone who visit in Fairbanks. 1/Shuttle pick up from airport for free . 2/Walking to Safeway from Sophia just 10 minutes ( snowing). 3/Cooking. 4/ The photos about the room is same which I saw from website
Great place to stay. Room had a full kitchen. Bed was very conformable. The hotel shuttle was not available when we landed. Called a cab and the hotel paid for it. Awesome. We will definitely stay here again.
I spent two nights in Fairbanks on business. I’ve stayed at 6 or 8 other Fairbanks hotels on previous trips. Sophie Station was a pleasant departure to the (higher priced) modern ‘box’ hotels. While most newer Fairbanks hotels I’ve visited could have been anywhere in the U.S. (with the exception of a few lobby decorations), this place is Alaskan to the core. We were greeted by a friendly and helpful front desk staff and really enjoyed the property. It feels dated and cleanliness was just ok. Overall, I thought it was a great value and much more interesting than most other hotels in town.
