This unique B & B was the highlight of our Alaskan Holiday. There were seven of us in our group from Australia. My daughter, son-in-law and grandson stayed in the 3 bed carriage, and my sister, two friends and myself, stayed in the family carriage. It was an unforgettable experience, but would not have been near as good without the...

The train rooms were one-of-a-kind fun. Our host gave us a tour of all the train cars, each decorated whimsically with her quirky personality clearly in view. We stayed in the Bordello room with flowered wall paper, a risqué painting, and a very comfy bed. Our breakfast was delicious, homemade, and hearty and accompanied by the hosts' many stories about...

Love, loved this hotel!! Very unique and the hosts are very nice and friendly. I'd definitely forego staying in downtown Fairbanks and stay at this hotel instead. Just get a rental car to visit the city.. downtown is pretty small and you will probably need the car to visit other sites around the area. The price per night was reasonable...

Fun experience that both adults and kids will like. Rail cars re-purposed as motel rooms. The owners are fun , amiable and concerned that you have a great experience. Good, ample basic breakfast in the dining 'car'. many of the train cars are designed in funky fashion. Owners share their stories if even slightly prodded. Worth the 'fare'.

Our group of 4 adults stayed at the unique Aurora Express B & B for 5 nights and loved it. The B & B is comprised of railroad passenger cars (Pullman and a caboose) that have been repositioned up on the hillside overlooking the Chena River valley and Fairbanks (the story and pictures of the rail cars being moved to...

What a great place to stay!!! Fun, funky, comfortable, and beautifully situated with fabulous, interesting hosts, and a yummy big breakfast. We stayed in the Arlene car (great for a family of up to four) with our young adult son who thought it was the coolest place to stay ever! Thanks for the wonderful memories!

Throughly enjoyed our stay at The Aurora Express. The views were gorgeous and location peaceful. Sue and Mike make you feel right at home. They go out of their way to make sure you have everything you need and are very informative on all the local attractions and activities. Sue kept us laughing and mesmerized with her stories. The breakfast...

The Five of us stayed here for 4 days in June of this year, we stayed in the Pullman train car, we each had our own room, there were 2 bathrooms , a sitting room and two areas, you could set and talk. It was an adventure, we had two 9yr olds with us, and they loved it. My husband...

The breakfast is prompt at 8 AM, and it is very good. The train cars are very unique. It is so quiet and peaceful. The views of the airport, rivers, city, etc. (all below) are captivating. One train car is enough for a family, but if you are couple then the Can-Can car would be enough.

At this B&B your room is in an actual Alaska Rail Road train car! There are a bunch of different themes...we stayed in the caboose which had a Victorian theme. Amazing how they did this as it is up on a hill with beautiful views of the Tanana River, with tables outside under the "tunnel" made of timber, and even...
