A lovely room in a nice Brownstone, in a charming Carroll Gardens neighborhood, with nearby restaurants, and great subway access - couldn't ask for anything more. There are only two rooms, sharing one clean bathroom, so there is zero hassle here. The hosts are friendly, the neighborhood quiet, and there is even a laptop in the room, plus coffee maker.... ...okay, I'm not reviewing this place anymore because I don't want it to become too popular...our FAVORITE B&B and hands down, our go-to place in NYC...from the accommodations, to the neighborhood, to the subway at the top of the block, to the warm loveliness of our hosts...the place is tops... ...drops mic...hopes not too many take needed stay-dates!

The Inn on Second is a true gem and wonderful place to stay. It has all the comforts of home because it is a home, not just a hotel. It is small, intimate and well equipped. Both rooms are very comfortable and have quiet air conditioners to beat the summer heat. The rooms are full of original charm of the... More

We have relatives who live in Brooklyn and whom we visit at least yearly, but don't have enough room for us. We have stayed at the ultra expensive Brooklyn Marriott in the past, which may be fancy, but can be rather impersonal. It was located way too far from our relatives which caused us to spend even more on cabs... More

The Inn on Second is a great value, in a terrifically convenient location, with welcoming hosts. The F train is at the top of the block, for getting into Manhattan, and Smith Street is loaded with places to eat. It is an inn rather than a B&B, so stock up on breakfast food if you want to eat in. There's... More

This is a wonderful find! The owners live on the main floor, the two rental rooms are on the second floor. Both rooms are lovely. In addition to a comfortable bed, there are great chairs, a desk/table, refrigerator, coffee pot, adequate closet space, and even a computer. Although the bathroom is shared between the two rooms, we have had no... More

I don't want to give this such high reviews, because I want to keep the secret to myself so there is always room for me! This place is fantastic. Super nice owners who are relaxed and helpful and friendly. Large rooms with comfortable beds and all the amenities you can wish for. They think of everything! Perfect location, just a... More

My wife and I recently stayed here and loved our stay. The rooms were VERY well kept and everything was VERY clean. The room and bathroom were very clean. There was coffee, tea, and juice provided in the room. There was a mini refrigerator for keeping food and drinks. The inn keepers were very welcoming and accommodating. The inn is... More

We were in Brooklyn for a family wedding and so booked the two rooms together. It was a good choice. Great area, friendly street and plenty of good cafes for breakfast on Smith. Equally good range of places for an evening meal, too. Easy walk to subway with heavy bags - and to Brooklyn Heights and city centre without. A... More

We always stay at the Inn on Second, whenever we go to New York City. The Innkeepers are the nicest! It's close to funky and fun Smith and Court Streets and has a train stop at the base of the street. It's clean and comfy. Not posh or ultra fancy and you do have to share the hall bathroom with...
