Small rooms with very limited closet space. Attached bar was nice with friendly and efficient staff. The hotel mask requirements were rigid but the lobby area just outside the reception area had no such requirements. Weird. The free bottled water was very nice to have. The coffee bar was a plus in the morning. Not bad for the price. Nice area. No daily room cleaning and when we requested a cleaning, the crew left our door unlocked. Reception staff was very friendly though.

The staff was very friendly and always willing to help with everything. The room that I had was clean and everything available to use while I stayed there for three days. The food within the bar and restaurant was first class and extremely tasty.

The Hoxton bills itself as a boutique hotel which often is associated with an old building gussied up to look modern. Nothing of the sort here. The design elements are definitely of the post industrial style with a lot of metal and clean crisp lines. The rooms are in general very tiny (170 square feet for most) but with built in cubbies and shelves, a pull down desk top, and a bar for hanging clothes, you can manage. I loved the view of the NYC skyline especially at night, so make sure you ask for the Manhattan view. There is a lovely cafe in the lobby where you can get coffee and light breakfast items. There is also a restaurant which opens at noon, which we did not visit. The neighborhood is great, a short walk to the river or the ferry to Manhattan or the subway, and there are numerous restaurants in nearby. The Covid protocols were all in place which made you feel safe. As with most NYC hotels, you pay a high price especially on weekends but for us it was convenient to the wedding we attended. All in all, a great stay.

Our family had a wonderful time while staying at The Hoxton. Beautiful, clean hotel with a gracious and helpful staff. We were in town for a wedding and the Hoxton quickly became everyone's rally location due to the lobby's ample seating and spaciousness. I must mention how great the beds are. I haven't slept that well for ages. I need to know what mattress or topper they use.
