Charisse is a fantastic human being that I wish I could hang out with on a daily basis. Her genuine desire to connect with others and make them feel seen and appreciated is something people should aspire to on a daily basis, nevermind in the unforgiving hospitality industry. She deserves to have all her hopes and dreams realized, LA and more. At a bare minimum, she should be adequately rewarded by Hotel Indigo for her exceptional customer service and professionalism. When science allows men to become pregnant, there is no other doula I would call on than Charisse to guide me through that experience. Charisse would be the highlight of such a trip on an average day. But I was luckily traveling with a hilarious woman who has a wit so sharp that it typically cuts through me without my even feeling it right away; I don't even know I've been stabbed by her acerbic humor until the blade has passed through me entirely, with the knife hanging in the wall behind. If someone asked me to imagine the ideal evening, I would tell them it would include tapas with this precious woman as she shared her considerate and compassionate thoughts on life, friendship, and creativity. This would culminate in the adorable and unbridled sharing of some of her favorite music/artists as she lay across the bed so beautifully that I wouldn't even dare to touch her from my longing and desire because I don't want to disturb the perfection of her in that moment. She's a woman who deserves trash can flowers every day of her life.…
My husband and I spent just one night in this hotel and the very best part about the experience was the amazing staff. Rukiyah and Robertson at the desk, Ermen at the bar, and Phillip (he was everywhere) made our short stay simply wonderful. They were helpful, professional and most importantly kind. Everybody needs a Phillip in their lives! He’s the kind of person that makes the world a better place with his welcoming smile every time he opened the door. Thank you all for your kindness❤️
I think this hotel has an undeservedly low rating; looking through the reviews it seems they got dinged a lot due to the pandemic (having to close to be used as a homeless shelter, something that was not under their control). Our experience was very good. Hotel is relatively new, everything is up to a high standard in terms of decor. Design of the rooms are very chic, cool circular ceiling lighting, TV has Chromecast and was fun to watch a Christmas movie while stuck in New York for a couple of extra days due to our flight being suddenly cancelled for weather reasons. Hotel was packed (due to same weather flight cancellations) but we were still upgraded as Platinum elites to a slightly higher floor king room which we were very happy with. Bathroom was also very nice, with a modern shower with a floor to ceiling glass wall. Restaurant was closed, but we never eat in hotel restaurants unless we've got a free breakfast benefit (which you get at Diamond level with IHG but not Platinum), and it's Williamburg with really excellent restaurants everywhere. Right on the L train. We liked this hotel better than the Flushing Indigo we stayed in last night; though that was a perfectly decent hotel, it is a little more dated.…
This hotel is literally 200 ft from the subway! So convenient! My first trip to NYC and it was nice to stay at a hotel in a quieter area than downtown Manhattan. Williamsburg is a nicer area of Brooklyn, so we knew we'd be in a safe place. Kellog's diner was a great place to get a quick bite and 100 ft from the hotel entrance. The entire room was super clean and the bed was so comfy, we slept great both nights! Staff was very friendly and accommodating. I complimented the front desk on her nice pen and then she gave it to me!! :) made my day.
I confess to a preference for IHG Hotels, but had never stayed at an Indigo. Well, I will be staying at more in the future because this was an excellent experience! I walked in to the lobby and Chris at the front desk welcomed me like I was his long lost brother. He processed my reservation quickly while giving me a tour of the wonderful Brooklyn neighborhood simultaneously. Very smooth. His hotel did not disappoint. With a fabulous view of the Manhattan skyline, my room was refreshingly crisp and tastefully decorated. The beds were very comfortable and the TV was some kind of advanced 3d model which was amazing. The bathroom was spotless and so well laid out. The shower is walk-in with fabulous water pressure! I mean really great. The overhead rain head was augmented with a hand held wand which was great for my wife while washing her hair. The exhaust fan worked well. My son joined us at the bar for a before dinner drink and we found the space comfortable and the bar keep very very friendly. We parked in the very cool parking garage 100 feet from the hotel entrance on Union St. and were astounded at how quickly my car was ready for me on departure. Very nice. All in all, I loved this hotel and will definitely stay again.…
This hotel is apparently a boutique hotel so all the rooms are different. Ours was dark, the bedside light was not working, there was nowhere to put clothes or anything else other than on hangers and even then there weren't enough. One day the making up of the bed was awful. the payment method was disastrous, we had numerous visits to reception to sort it and followed by calls to the hotel and our own bank afterwards. We would never stay here again.
Stayed with a friend in October. Got a double room in the second floor. Good price for value. Clean. Extremely well located. Good service. Luggage storage. Bar. Friendly staff. Exactly what we needed.
Excellent stay and wonderful staff. Solid rooms and pool and ambience. Best location to be in Brooklyn and easy access to New York city via the L train next to the hotel. shout out to Charisse and chrystian for great service. Look forward to coming again
The Hotel Indigo is ideally situated for a New York stay. Choice of subway stations to use to get to Manhattan, lots of good restaurants near by & the added bonus of a pool if you visit in the summer months. Very helpful staff. Highly recommend. Cannot comment on in-house food as the restaurant was closed for refurbishment.
Do not stay at this hotel. Worst hotel experience ever! Our thermostat was not working properly and would constantly blow either cold or hot air directly on our faces because the vent was located right in front of the bed. The hotel engineer came twice giving us a nonsense explanation of the thermostat operation . The management would not guarantee us a different room. We spent 2 sleepless nights in terribly uncomfortable conditions. When they finally gave us a different room, no upgrade or compensation was offered. For the very high price, this hotel had minimal amenities and charged $6.50 for water. It was hard to find even for Uber.
