The hotel is located next to the Subway so it’s easy to get to Manhattan pretty quickly. The rooms were small but well decorated and in good condition. Within walking distance you have a few grocery/ convenience stores and a small selection of takeaways/ restaurants. The price of the hotel for this location was pretty good and it would be one of the main reason for my rating!
Rooms are quite small, but its NEW YORK.. The hotel is located across the street of a subway station. Making your commute very easy. The room was clean, service was great. No complain at all. I would stay here again if I ever in NYC again
Customer service is way less than stellar. Act like you are bothering them. Hotel is being renovated and only thing available is bottom 1 st floor. You have to go up to 10th floor to get ice. Smelled like cigarettes. Breakfast was bad. Eggs..cold and hard. Half cooked potatoes. Very sparse pickings.
We were two couples visiting NYC on a city break for my friends 50th. We couldn't get anything uptown and stayed here as it was a good link on the metro. The room had 2 queen beds, with a full bathroom with a bath tub. The size of the room with the 2 beds is a little cramped, but not too disimilar to other city hotel rooms. We were out of season and didn't have any issues with the breakfast room. Breakfast was surprisingly good and adequate. There were cereals, toast, bacon and scrambled eggs. The eggs were realluy good. The coffee was ok too.
Clean beautiful rooms. They are a bit small but functional. Staff was very nice and helpful. We were on the bottom floor but did not hear any noise. Subway is right outside the hotel as well a a Dunkin’ Donuts and 24 hour market. Parking right on site. We felt safe and secure. We will stay here again if the need arises.
The room is quite small , very clean , with nice toiletries , it’s a smoke free hotel but at night there were marijuana odor coming to our room , that happened twice. The breakfast was ok, but there were the same items for the four nights we stayed , we didn’t wanted to take breakfast for the last day ... It’s very close to the subway station.
Visited The Brooklyn Way hotel on my visit to New York. This was out first time in the USA & had come to see Carrie Underwood at Madison Square Garden. This hotel is set in a urban area. This is not a problem as their is a subway station right outside. I have to say I thought the area was very safe. I wandered around to see what was about and always felt safe. The local people was fine and the ones in the shops i went in were friendly. The hotel room was a little on the small side but very clean. There was a fridge, coffee machine and TV in room. The only thing is the cups were throw away polystyrene ones. I would have liked a proper cup. These cannot be recycled so its a shame. It does see the USA are behind the UK when it comes to recyling. The room comes with breakfast which is good but I have to say it was not great. There was cheese omelettes which I would say were frozen and brought in, bacon which was over cooked and saute potatoes which was undercooked. There was also fruit, yogurts and bread. the cereal was not very nice. There was also a machine to make waffles. Again it was throw away paper plates. I know its a budget hotel but you could improve it by not having disposable plate, cuttery etc. It was eatable and due to higher prises in New York compares to UK we did & also there are not really places to eat around, its mainly take aways. If you want restaurants you need to take the subway to Manhattan which takes about 30 mins. There are many good things about this hotel, it is kept spotless. The lady who cleaned our room was very friendly and nice and did a very good job. All the staff in the hotel are very helpful and friendly and are a credit to the hotel. The only thing I would say is there are not very many sockets in the room. There was a couple on a lamp you could use but where it was near the bottom the travel adapters did not fit so I had to unplug a radio alarm clock to charge up my mobile phone. But that is little things. On the whole I think this a very good hotel for what you pay. Cheaper than staying at Manhattan. If you are thinking about a hotel in New York you cant go wrong with this hotel & the view of Manhattan from our room was amazing.…
Easy to find very close to Subway station. Everything you need for breakfast. Rooms small but clean and practical. The only so-so point is tv and remote. Must be ingeneer to understand and doesn't respond well. But at the end very good hotel.
Thank you to the front desk staff for being kind and helpful during our college tour stay. We received a discount when we mentioned we were in Brooklyn to tour the Pratt Institute. Great food, transportation, and parking all close by. A small, local grocery store is located next door. The local "R" train is there and convenient for travel back and forth to Manhattan.
Great experience....Very clean and comfortable..Great service along with quick check-in and check-out...Great breakfast that was included in my stay.....Anna Loffe , a young employee there at the hotel, was especially GREAT....She was friendly, informative and very professional...Hats off to you Anna...
