The Sidney James is a great hotel for the money you spend per night. We had a great nightly rate and it is very close (less than a mile walk) to the center of the Parkway. If you don't like to walk though, this hotel probably isn't for you because as you return to your hotel it is a bit...

Although close to the main drag, this hotel is dated in structure and decor and is in desperate need of a major renovation. Very inexpensive and Staff was nice at check in but the rooms were subpar. Old bedding, weak plumbing, dated furniture, etc.

Loved my stay here this weekend. Had an indoor pool and hot tub. Water was not heated nor was it cold. But comfortable enough to swim easily with it being 30 degrees outside. Room was clean. Service was helpful every was possible. It's not (for me in the cold) an easy walk to downtown, and booked it knowing I would...

The first clue was hardly any toilet paper on the roll and no more rolls to be found. We called the front desk to have toilet paper brought up...

Way out dated!! Furniture, Bed everything on the bed was ancient! Afraid to walk on carpet barefoot! Rusty heater in bathroom, mold growing on ceiling in bathroom, hole in drywall, mattress on bed has to be at least 10yrs old. Walls and furniture all beat to hell. Can't wait until morning so I can get out of here! No way...

The staff all very friendly. The rooms were clean and in good shape. Linens were clean. For future trips to Gatlinburg this will be the place we stay. Great family place! The location in which this hotel is situated is the perfect area. You are close to all the main attractions. You actually are within walking distance to everything.
