My Wife & I just returned From a 3 day stay @ Bales in Gatlinburg. We found the Room to be Extremely Clean and the staff very helpful. The cost was $35 per night (offseason). It was 1 block from the Parkway. This is our 2nd Stay there. We will be back.

After reading reviews we decided to give this great little hotel a chance and we were not disappointed. No, it's not five star, but it is clean, the owners are friendly and it's a great value. And it's withing walking distance of The Village in Gatlinburg and many other area attractions. We would definately stay at Bales again.

It definitely isnt the Ritz, but considering you are one block from the main area of Gatlinburg and it was peak leaf season, $55 a night isnt that bad. The room had 2 double beds and another small room with a single bed so this place would probably be a good choice for families. Very quiet at night since you... More

This is the best place to stay in Gatlinburg! The price is great and the room are very clean. It has an at home feeling. We have made Bales our home away from home while visiting Gatlinburg. It is just a short walk from downtown yet it is quiet and peaceful. The Motel is owned and operated by the Bales... More

Bales is a wonderful place to stay. Very Friendly ; Clean rooms ; It's not fancy, but it's not priced fancy, either! Great Value! We Always stay at Bales whenever we go to Gatlinburg or Pigeon Forge. You won't find better hosts than Bill and Nicole and their staff.

We arrived 8/08//06 and were very impressed with what we got for the money. (55/night for 3 adults, 13 and 10 year olds) 2 queen beds and a single in a partitioned off area. We were able to walk just about anywhere we wanted. Walking distance of Aquarium, Ripleys Believe it or Not, The Village Shops, Harley Davidson, and all... More

I read all the other reviews on Trip Advisor before planning my trip to Gatlinburg. I chose Bale's because it had a wonderfully central location and the rate was fantastic and most everyone enjoyed their stay. The room was really clean and huge! It could sleep 5 people, but it was only my toddler son and myself on this trip.... More
