Went here on a whim it's an older hotel but the room was nice pool was good and the views were great me and my wife sat by the pool ,walked on the private sandy beach (Bay side) even though they are pet friendly we never heard barking it was a quite enjoyable experience. Breakfast was the usual jyst like if you got to a Hampton Inn or such. We are already looking into booking again next year but for more than 3 says
Rotten chair in #228 and expected a different one while we were away from the room. What a hassle. Then, we found the mattress to be hollowed out and lumpy. Room interiors are not too bad, but not as stated to be an upgrade. My room had only 2 chairs (take a look at my picture of one of them. ) Again, while gone from room, they dropped the ball. No service and it's too late to load up my stuff and move to another room. I once would've considered staying again for conveniences sake and I wouldn't even post this... But, rotten furniture does not make for a pleasant getaway. Now I'm dealing with no service. No reply from the manager , Nelda, either. and I'm an active Choice Rewards customer. I canceled a second reservation for 3 nights in late Sept '22 due to this mess.
"SOME PEOPLE DON'T MIND" That is what the manager of this hotel told me when I went to complain and show her these pictures. Not to mention I was overcharged for the room. Nothing was done about either she rolled her eyes and looked away from me I left this place disgusted! The manager's name is "Maya" aka: "Mia" DON'T GO THERE!!!! The service is HORRIBLE the rooms are HORRIBLE! The curtains were ripped with holes in them the quilt on the bed was ripped, the room smelled of Pine-Sol the floor was coming up paint scraped off of the door etc DO NOT GO TO THIS HOTEL! the beach has dangerous objects like nails sticking out of their broken down wooden deck furniture also huge pieces of concrete with rusty rebar sticking out of it that's their idea of a private beach about two feet of crap. Cops come to this place for domestic disputes apparently often... Not a good place to go!…
Just stayed here this past week and it is an older hotel granted and could use updating BUT for the views of the bay, the private bay side beach, the pool, the location and the price you can't beat it! I would stay here again! The bayside private beach is about 100 yards long and the perfect spot for kids swimming, much less waves than the beach. Not as blue water but still very nice! The staff was nice and the free breakfast was a real breakfast. It was nice to sit on the screen porch and have breakfast. The location of the hotel is near to everything.
A weekend in the Pensacola area, and we wanted to stay close to the water. We stayed in room 264, which had a bay view and a balcony that you could relax on. The room was spacious, with an area where you could eat in a counter-type setting. The bed was comfortable, and the shower was old, but the water pressure was satisfactory. There was a wind tunnel effect between our rooms and the central part of the hotel that was irritating one evening, but it stopped before nighttime- the doors opened to the outside with no hallway. There were some upgrades to the flooring, but they did not match well. The entire facility is 'dated.' We ate breakfast in the restaurant in the morning; it was adequate. The front desk was not overly warm and welcoming, and we did not get recognized as Diamond Members.…
I expected more from a Quality Inn. The place is really run down and in need of a total makeover. The rooms are very dated and probably haven't seen a coat of paint in years. It's pretty bad when the faucets for the tub/shower are completely different. The "continental breakfast" was horrible. The sausage and eggs where cold like they had just been thawed out and not heated up. The restaurant still had the chairs up on the tables and only 3 lights on. The place was like a dungeon. Overall condition of the property is poor. The only plus was the staff is very friendly.
This is an older former Holiday Inn property that is well maintained. Good to see it is still a flagged property and not a tear down. The restaurant and bar was quite nice and enjoyable . The bathtub tile was in need of repair , but the showerhead was good and plenty of hot water . They offered no breakfast food , while two other Fla. motels did. In addition the lady in front of me was filling large Personal thermoses with coffee . I always thought this was not allowed , but she was while running her smart political mouth . The attendant said nothing . I would stay here again , only because it reminded of days gone by . It is within walking distance of a great bar called the bridge , with great happy hour drinks .
Disgusting run down property full of crackheads could be such an amazing property if it was properly managed with different ownership that actually cared quite disappointing especially during these difficult times for..............
Stayed at the Quality Inn, Gulf Breeze, FL from 8/28 - 9/5/21. We evacuated from New Orleans during Hurricane Ida. Due to the hurricane & ongoing power outage, we stayed longer than anticipated - 9 days. Quality Inn charged us $2600. During this evacuation the Labor Day holiday occurred & Quality Inn charged us $358.51/per night for 3 nights totaling $1075. We tried to discuss this charge with the manager that this was not a Labor Day "vacation" but instead we were evacuees under duress, not knowing in what condition our home was in New Orleans. The manager wouldn't budge. Also, our dog evacuated with us. Quality Inn charged us $37 (inc tax) each day = $333 for the 9 days. We've stayed in pet friendly hotels for years and have never been charged a daily fee. The Hampton next door only charges a one-time fee. If they had availability, we would've moved. After 9 days, we could not afford to pay these rates so we moved to the Hyatt Place at Pensacola Airport (much, much nicer & cleaner). Because we were evacuees, they graciously offered to waive the pet fee and threw in to waive the cancellation fee when our power was restored in Nola. These waivers were a considerable consolation. The staff at Quality Inn in Gulf Breeze were great and helpful as much as allowed. At the time there was no availability anywhere & we feel we were unfairly exploited during a Cat. 4 hurricane. I would not recommend this Quality Inn Gulf Breeze.…
Bugs, run down poorly maintained find another place to stay, looks like it has a few people living here full time, not Really a place for a Family vacation, Corporate should move to repair or sell this one off as it’s not up to Choice Standards
