we reserved a deluxe room for 3 persons well in advance after reading the positive reviews in this site. upon arriving to the guest house we understood that something was very very wrong. till this day we don't know if we arrived at a new guesthouse that was opened lately in addition to the old one or to the same...

We had the pleasure of staying at Arumina for 3 nights after our houseboat stay. This really is a beautiful, beautiful home. The hosts were so kind and generous, and as others have said, treated us like family. The house is so close to the beach, which is worth the visit to enjoy the evening crowds and colour! We definately...

The Arunima heritage home is not like a regular hotel, Its jus like a relatives home. Nice place to stay, good food and home made food to be exact. ( Appam and mutta kari, puttu and kadala kolambu, very tasty). The people were very caring. Lot more than we expected.

This is a great homestay. They have the guest house, which is actually their house, & another bigger hotel. The staff is the best, very attentive & helpful with everything & anything, from backwater boat trips to ayurvedic massages to travel planning. It is very close to the beach & only a 20-min walk to the city center - but...

We had a huge room, but not really much in the room, e.g chairs, table, bedside tables. There was no hot water & we arrived early evening & were not offered any food. We headed into town & got hopelessly lost in the dark. In the morning we were eventually offered breakfast but the offer was after so long we...

We loved the stay in Arunima just for the tranquility of the home together with the outstanding hospitality services of the proprietor. If anyone needs a home to stay in Alleppey, I do recomment undoubtedly, it's Arunima, as the slogan says.....A home that your feet can leave, not your hearts. The hosts were very friendly and helpful, and were more than happy to help out in any way that they could. The bedroom was large and comfortable. The grounds were very pleasnat and nice and relaxing away from the honking of horns. On the downside, the chanting at 5am from a nearby mosque was rather unfortunate but of course nothing the...

The hosts were very accommodating - a little obsessive about switching off fans though. Nice house but mosquitos were a problem until the host fumigated the bedroom and sitting areas. Cockroaches in the bathroom were a bit off-putting. Maybe one should accept mosquitos and cockroaches in India ? I would rate the residence as average/just above average.
