Well situated, nice old Guest House in a old portugiese style. High rooms with own terasse to the quiet court, some with AC, only little mosquitoes at this time. Buildings surounded with high Mango- and Palmtrees. Good quality in comparison. We stayed 3 days and had a lot of nice talks to the very friendly people there.

What kind staff!! Just because they wanted to, the owner walked us to our boat cruise. They were also helpful with bus schedules and such. Breakfast was yummy and affordable. I was very happy with my stay and grateful for such kind staff here. Room was quiet and clean. Win, win, win :)

We arrived late at night on the train and left the next day on a houseboat. The owner was very gracious about being woken up at 2:45am to let us into the room. The room was a good size, fan but no A/C. The bathroom was also a good size, with a powerful shower. The wood trim (teak and rosewood)...

We picked this place based on good reviews mostly and also proximity to the houseboats. Wow. We arrived at 2:30 in the morning and were warmly welcomed and quickly shown our room so we could catch some sleep. Room was big and airy with a fan that moved air well. Breakfast of banana pancakes was excellent. Joseph was a super...

I very much enjoyed my stay at Sona Heritage Home. The home offers a tranquil respite to the weary traveller, being set off the main road and its noise, and in the midst of lovely gardens full of frogs croaking in the evening. The house itself is beautiful, a truly heritage home built at the beginning of the last century...

Absolutely loved our stay at Sona's. Joseph is a funny man, with loads of good stories ! Bit hard to follow sometimes but just looking at him is entertaining ! The room are good value for money. Not the most modern but that does not fit the style of the home anyway. Joseph arranged a trip on the backwaters in...

It is a little far from the beach, and food is a bit of a problem if you do not like coconut oil since all nearby shacks use that only. Otherwise u have to travel a good 2 km to get some decent food. Owner is quite helpful. I had a little bit problem with payment, they were behaving as...

Picked at random from LP, this place was quiet with clean basic rooms. The family were helpful and very friendly. It's really near the water which is useful and about 1.5k from the centre of town. Breakfast is not included but they offer a very limited menu which is fine.

“The chalets opposite the main house look more private and have their own little balconies. The rooms in main house also have balconies but the one by the main door is a bit less private so try and get one of the others.”
