Very pleasant and serene, comfortable, beautiful murals, gracious hosts, good food. Hosts' son gave us a very interesting tour of the area; we learned a lot. Also an early-morning yoga class. Recommended.

Gopal and his wife re the most gracious hosts and he is extremely knowledgeable about all the land, birds, area, etc. He can customize trips to less busy backwaters. Lovely people, great food, clean rooms. Highly recommend!!

I stayed here for one night as part of an Intrepid tour - we were weary from a long day of travelling and the welcome at Ayana's was so kind and genuine. The location is beautiful with many birds & lotus flowers and little water traffic. We were served two meals both of which were quite good, and as I...

I only stayed for one night but it was a really enjoyable experience. I was warmly welcomed by Gopal into the home and asked to "treat it as my own" during my stay. We were able to access the kitchen at any time and that was great as I was able to chat with the family as though they were...

Really friendly host with a cracking sense of humour, beautiful accommodation and comfy beds plus delicious home cooked food! On top of this the ability to explore the kerala backwaters which are just beautiful. A definite highlight of my stay in India!

Enjoyed the food, comfort at home, walk around the backwater and chat with the host while learning so much about kerala and India. I am glad to have also learned yoga here , even i had to wake up at 530am. Will come back to stay in the new blocks of homestay.

We arrived about 4.00pm after our driver took a while to find it and were delighted with the canoe ride over and the friendly greeting on arrival. We...

This home stay is a suprise! Amazing quality, high standards, beautiful surroundings and a great wibe. The family is great in every way, and the owner is so nice that you END up talking for hours. We stayed 3 nights, and is was just great. Learned a lot about India in general and the backwaters in particular. Loved every second.

We spent a fortnight in Kerala over Xmas with our two sons 13 and 15. Ayana's provided an excellent strategic stopover between our journey from the hills to the coast for two nights. Vinit and his family provided an extremely warm welcome to us. The rooms were comfy with en suite bathrooms, air - con and fans and our room...
