I went to Kurialacherry house when a friend recommended and only had the best things to say. All the reviews also spoke so much about the food, I had to check it out. Even though I went there prepared for a lovely stay, I was still in for a full surprise....to experience it is to know it. Jacob is the...

We spent just one night here on a kayaking trip around the backwaters. There are just a few independent cottages on the edge of the river and you can only get here by boat, which adds to the charm. There are the backwaters on one side, with the family fishfarm and rice fields on the other. Rooms are large wth...

Kurialacherry is a beautiful tranquil homestay in a backwaters village. My husband and I stayed for 2 nights in a very traditionally converted rice barn, it was gorgeous. Jacob was our host and what a lovely guy, he took us on a boat trip around the local area and was very knowledgeable. He also took my husband fishing and showed...

A group of 8 friends visited this place during Nehru boat race in Aug 2016. Place is well maintained. Calm and you absolutely feel at home. You got to use a boat to reach the place and no connectivity by road which in itself is a great experience. Rooms are pretty decent. Just that the service can be a little...

This is a wonderful homestay on one of the many small islands in the Backwaters. Delightful home cooked authentic Kerala foodand a very warm welcome. Jacob took me on a canoe trip which explored some of the small waterways you cannot see from the larger houseboats. The rooms and the welcome were all first class. A great place for a...

Perfect place to relax in the Keralan backwaters and see village life behind the river banks. We loved arriving by boat - it is not accessible by car! Our cottage was a beautifully converted and decorated boat house with a private dining table on a terrace by the river. The gardens were lovely and Jacob put up hammocks for us....
