My wife and I booked a reservation at Raheem Residency and they completely screwed up the process. We repeatedely called and emailed to receive some type of confirmation regarding the reserveration, and for 3 months heard nothing back. When I finally was able to talk to Satheesh and Parwathi, they gave us an attitude, said it was our fault. We...

I'm sure a lot of people miss Alleppey and only arrive here to catch a boat. However, it's really worth an overnight stay and I'd highly recommend Raheem Residency as the place to do it. Ideal location over from the beach so you can go mingle with the locals. The cafe/bar they own next door is handy and serves great...

The Raheem Residency is a quaint heritage hotel, quite reasonably priced from an accomodation viewpoint. The food at the restaurant while adequate is boringly repetitive, with no changes being made to the evening menu during our stay. Breakfast is similarly limited. An omlette means just that and nothing else. All transport from the Raheem seems to have been ramped up...

This lovely little hotel/homestay has a wonderfully colonial feel to it. We had the Raheem room which very spacious and furnished with attractive traditional furniture. The generous ensuite bathroom has a bath and shower. The hotel has a great little pool with loungers around it and excellent pool service, as well as a some shady comfortably furnished verandahs. Directly opposite...

This is a great place to stay with lovely rooms and public areas. Our room was spacious and very well finished, with lovely traditional furnishings. The overall ambience of the place is very relaxing and the staff cant do enough to help you. There is a pool as well as lots of shady spots to sit and read or play...

My husband and I stayed at the Raheem Residency in Feb 12. From the moment we arrived until 5.00am some 4 days later we experienced wonderful service from lovely people. Our accommodation was THE Raheem's room. It was perfect. Air con super, soft lights (no bright lights in this room). We had the room with the open roof shower and...

Beautiful hotel, just across from the beach. Swimming pool, library - don't take their books! Massage and all tour arrangements. Listen closely, maybe even get things in writing. The laundry came back nicely done, but we didn't get our room cleaned since we didn't know we needed to ask. This was a splurge with a number of issues.

Great place, professionally run, really helpful staff. Felt totally relaxed lounging by the pool The building is beautiful, as are the rooms. Close to the train station. Only criticism would be restaurant which, although beautiful, was expensive with a limited menu (but the included breakfast was good), but the had delicious and cheap food in the restaurant next door so...

The Raheem Residency is a gorgeous boutique hotel located on the beach in Alleppey. The architecture, furniture, and art around the property feels rich with local history and beauty. The rooms are spacious, comfortable beds, nice towels, and complimentary ayurvdedic soaps and creams. The restaurant and complimentary breakfast were hearty and delicious...your choice of south indian or american. The hotel...

This was the third place we stayed in our month long trip, December 2011 – everywhere booked based on Trip Advisor reviews and all arranged by ourselves directly by email. Raheem Residency is a great place to stay where we enjoyed relaxing for a few days by the pool and walking on the beach. The swimming pool was magnificent –...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Raheem Residency at Alleppey Beach, one hour south of Cochin, is an 1868 colonial property which was passionately restored in a classic, Indian style in 2003 by a small Indo-European private limited company. It is now recognized by the Tourism Dept of India as a genuine Heritage Hotel of India. Originally built by an Englishman, it was the home of the Raheems, an eminent Alleppey family, for one hundred years.
